LOL 6:30? Who do you think I am? XD There's no way in hell I'm getting up that early. I'm waking up at like, 7 or 7:30 at the earliest. Shower (20 min) + breakfast (10 min) + 30-40 min for commute = I need an hour to an hour and 20 minutes MAX. I'll probably wake up at 7 just to give myself an extra 30 minutes to relax and take my time, but 6:30 is just excessive and would make me incredibly tired for the real test.JamMasterJ wrote:How are you going to wake up at 6:30 for the LSAT?crumpetsandtea wrote:![]()
I'm being stupid. I have to be at work by 9 tomorrow...INSTEAD I AM STILL AWAKE. lolz dumb.

Nice choice! Hope it was the "Geno's East" location, and I hope you professed your school love on the wall in white out. I was there last Saturday too!Tiago Splitter wrote:Checking in from Chicago to say that Gino has excellent pizza. Visiting nw tomorrow

LOL. I had to go back and check the spelling to make sure I hadn't offended anyone. Yes it was Gino's East, but no writing on the wall for me. Very good pizza though.JamMasterJ wrote:If you can't spell Gino's, you won't even get into John Marshall.tmon wrote:ITT: tmon demonstrates his inability to learn from mistakes to potential adcom onlookers.
No tours for another couple of weeks at Northwestern but they offer a brochure to help with a self-guided tour. The views from the east side of the law building are phenomenal, at least on the days in late August when it's 80 degrees and sunny.

Hi guys! Just checking in as a newly minted 1L. If there's anything I can do to fill y'all in, let me know. I don't know much yet, but I'm skilled at finding things out

I'm (probably) not applying to NU for law school, but I went there for undergrad and wanted to share a couple things.
1. The below is a Tater Tot Pizza from Quenchers Saloon on Fullerton and Western, which is easily the best bar in Chicago if you love craft beer. It comes with tater tots, green onions, and bacon, and sour cream for dipping. SO GOOD.

2. In addition to a warm coat, you will need waterproof boots - Merrell makes good ones for women and men. Make sure they have Thinsulate or Gore-Tex.
3. For those concerned about airfare for campus visits/interviews, consider flying Southwest Airlines into Midway Airport instead of going through O'Hare - they're about equidistant from downtown, and Midway is much smaller, more manageable, and less likely to lose your luggage/be delayed.

Egregious anti-Hopleaf trolling. Won't stand for it.No13baby wrote: Quenchers Saloon on Fullerton and Western, which is easily the best bar in Chicago if you love craft beer.
Midway is credited though.
Seriously though you rolled in here with quenchers saloon for craft beer? You're lucky I didn't "what is this I don't even" your ass.

Haha. Hopleaf is a victim of its own success - every time I went there they were packed, and I had the choice of either waiting for two hours or going to the upstairs area and drinking one of their FOUR draft beers. No thanks.descartesb4thehorse wrote:Egregious anti-Hopleaf trolling. Other quality beer bars - Map Room, Small Bar (void for Division Street location).

I've only visited once, so take my advice for what it's worth, but Southwest from Portland to Midway was the same price (too much) as the other airlines into O'Hare when I booked. All other things being equal, I fly Alaskan because they have the best snacks.No13baby wrote:3. And O'Hare was really not bad at all in terms of getting around/finding stuff. I was expecting a total clusterfuck like JFK, but it was just a regular airport.
I paid $40 for a taxi from the airport because I have not yet tried out the El (only the buses), but next time I may brave it. There's one train change between O'Hare and Streeterville.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
