I submitted my ED app 10/24, went complete on 10/25, and my status changed to "Under Committee Review" on 11/10/11.

However, if they let me in, it may go down as the most generous thing they've ever done lol

I changed to under committee review on the 10th as well. If letting you in would be the most generous thing they've ever done, I may be a close second.

Yeah I also went under review on the 10th, maybe they actually started looking at apps that day? I think i read somewhere else on where that Penn waits until the ED deadline to even start looking at apps so getting it in really early for ED doesn't matter, but maybe that's wrong. Who knows.

Agreed. It seems like for ED, they put acceptances before December 15th. Rejects were around that time but as late as the 22nd or so.

I am not sure if ED operate on the same rolling principle as RD. Late ED applicants will receive later reviews, but I don't really think it hurts their chances. I know people who applied just before the deadline, reviewed after everyone else did, and got in ED.

I am deeply sorry for offending and hurting people with my earlier post about URMs. It was my error and I should not have posted that. My LSAT and GPA are below the 25th % of several schools I am applying to. A few posters on TLS told me I should not try for those schools because the applicants who do get in with my numbers are URMs. That was all I was trying to convey with my earlier post: that people below the 25th % levels are usually URMs. I did not mean anything about 1Ls. Again, I cannot apologize enough for my poor comment. What pains me the most about this incident is that I am very liberal and strongly in support of equal opportunity. Hence it is painful that this happened and that people were offended and hurt. I am deeply sorry for the post.

Just wanted to note this and say thanks for clarifying! Mistakes happen I think the community appreciates it

Of course. But at the same time, it's just extra motivation for me to do as well as I can and make the most of my time in law school so that I can get a good job when I graduate.

You should probably send an email and ask for the status checker. I sent my app yesterday and got a status checker this morning

No... and after a few days I wouldn't bother them for the status checker. They're getting an influx of apps from all the people that took the October LSAT and then from the ones that received fee waivers. So just wait it out.

Entertain a crazy hypothetical here... I could be wayyy off but I'm curious to what you all think. I have heard that if accepted under ED to Penn, they will send out letters to the other schools you applied telling them so. I went under review super early at Penn (10/20), and applied in mid-September to other T-14's. My status checker on the other T-14's websites have not budged once. Is it possible that this could be a sign of them telling other schools not to waste time if the applicant is already admitted? Maybe my app just sucks lol but makes me wonder...

Yeah. This. Aren't most school's ED deadline TODAY anyway?

I also REALLY doubt that they would have taken the time to inform every other school you applied to, but not you. Pretty sure that is just a back-up measure just to make sure you withdraw from everywhere, not a tool to halt your applications everywhere else.

Thank you planting that in my head. Until now, I freaked out about non-changing status updates. Now, I'm going to have freak out whenever they change as well.

But didn't you say you saw some status checker movement in the Gtown thread?
