So I still have three days until my dreams are crushed. Good. I can't handle it being tomorrow.

So EDs hear back in December, but do RDs not hear back until after the New Year?

This information isn't exactly privileged. If you just take a little bit of effort, all the data is out there.
The graph in the OP illustrates the point as well.

I knew the information was there from last year, just didn't know if maybe there was more information regarding this year.

I'm RD and I'd love to hear tomorrow since I'm 99% sure I'll be rejected (1% waitlisted
) and it'd be nice to not have to bother to check their status checker anymore haha!

No one has heard back yet, so of course there isn't new information. The data is pretty consistent over the past several years, so just assume the same schedule for this year.Zelda wrote:I love how friendly TLS is.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:http://columbia.lawschoolnumbers.com/ap ... er=asc&p=4Zelda wrote:So EDs hear back in December, but do RDs not hear back until after the New Year?

Are we sure about this? I thought their status checker said all decisions are by snail mail.Themaddh wrote:ralph_pootawn wrote:do ed applicants hear by email or snail mail?suspicious android wrote:Wow, didn't realize it was so early, for some reason I thought it was after Christmas. Check last year's thread, all ED applicants heard by email.
Who's excited for good news this week??

I am now. Although after the first glut there will be more waiting. Do you they just accept the best ED canddiates first and then get around to the marginal ones? Anyway, very glad they don't make you wait for snailmail.Themaddh wrote:Check last year's thread, all ED applicants heard by email.

It doesn't look like they just accept the best ones first according to LSN.suspicious android wrote:

Re acceptance emails, does this point hold just for ED applicants? Does the point also hold for RD applicants? Would the regulars start hearing around the same time as the earlies?

I don't believe so. People talked about VCEs (vomit colored envelopes) for RD acceptances.RonnyDworkin wrote:Re acceptance emails, does this point hold just for ED applicants? Does the point also hold for RD applicants? Would the regulars start hearing around the same time as the earlies?
Like has been said repeatedly in this thread, the first round of RD admits goes out at the end of January.

Reposted from Hawkeye's first post. Since no one has heard yet ITT, there may be some ED movement soon, but nothing for anyone else until January.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Just got the mail and saw an envelope from Columbia. My heart sank because it was just a regular-sized envelope and seemed awfully thin.
But then I tried to inject some logic and tell myself that it couldn't possibly be a rejection just yet since I only submitted Nov 13. Turns out it was a letter from the Columbia Law Women's Association. Phew. Funny enough they were encouraging me to apply....I guess they don't have the most up-to-date info on applicants.
