Re: University of San Francisco 2011
According to LSN, they just accepted someone off the WL today with a 151/2.7/URM status. Her profile doesn't indicate FT or PT though. I wonder what stretegy they're using to go through the waitlist. Maybe starting with the highest LSAT scores and working their way down? Thoughts?

Re: University of San Francisco 2011
I am freaking amazed that they have been accepting really low LSAT's with high GPA's and vice versa. I, however, am right in the middle, so I guess I am worried. A friend of mine got accepted with a 161, 2.4. I have a 157, 3.3! Why don't you accept me already USF!?!

Got admitted to the PT program today even though I said I only wanted to be on the wait list for the full time program. This must mean that they probably don't have too many seats left for the FT program. They told me that they would re-consider me for FT after the June 24th deposit deadline if I did not want to do the PT program.

I declined the part time offer. I definitely want to attend a full-time program. I told them to keep me on the full-time wait list.

Accepted to the PT program off the WL yesterday too.
I am going to accept the offer. This will help ease me back into school (I have been out of school since Grad school in 2007). It will also allow me to still be a very involved Mommy, which is extremely important to me. If later, I decide that I would prefer the full time program I can always transfer in for my 2nd year and finish in 3 years.
YAY!! I am pretty excited. I spoke with Dean Brand and he believes that often the part time program has stronger and more interesting discussion because the participants are generally older and have more life experience. And the classes are smaller. He also assured me that it is the SAME curriculum and SAME faculty. Go PART TIME PROGRAM!

I was accepted to the FT program via email yesterday (158/OOS). I have been given until 4 o'clock on this upcoming Friday to send them the $350 seat deposit.
Attending USF is unlikely but my wife and I are still discussing it. I will most likely officially turn down the offer tomorrow. Good luck to all still on the WL.

My application was officially withdrawn today. Although, I'm surprised they didn't do it earlier because my deposit was due almost a month ago and I clearly didn't pay it. Anyways, I hope my spot (with no $$, unfortunately) goes to someone here!!!

I'm out. There's a full-time spot and a one-time-only 30k discount for someone out there.

Withdrawing from the wait list soon. I think I am going to SCU. Until I get off of the other wait lists.
I think USF's admission committee kind sucks because they average scores. Pleases keep in mind I am not saying the school itself sucks...just the adcomms.

Re: University of San Francisco 2011
Congratulations to everyone that will be attending USF this fall! Who else is hanging out in the bay area this summer? Maybe we could plan some sort of 0L meet-up before august. I'd love to hear about how nervous everyone else is to be starting law school, what books we are reading this summer, financial jitters, etc. Any ideas? Happy-hour type of thing? I'm open.

Where is the best place to live within a 15 minute commute to class?
How is the school with negotiating scholarships? I was given an okay amount but I'd like a little more to help alleviate the cost of living and it also is worrisome that it is non-renewable.
Thanks for taking the time to answer questions.

Re: University of San Francisco 2011
I just got my first letter from USF. I was waitlisted. The next day I got an email asking if I was still interested...... I am not because I will be attending Hastings.... But just out a curiosity what kind of financial aid packages have they offered?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
