Pretty sure the only 1L summer course for PT students is Moot Court, not a full course load. You should be fine to work, and you should be fine competitive-ness wise with FT'ers.lic06003 wrote:Hi guys,
I know jobs are usually given out after 1L. I am going to attend UConn part time this year, and since transferring from pt to ft means taking summer courses, am I "doomed"? okay, maybe not doomed, but is it considered bad since I don't have the summer (compared to a ft) to get a job? I'm a bit confused because 1L year grades are considered the most important. Thanks for your help!
I wish jobs were "given out" after 1L! That sounds like we get to take a number and line up, which would rule.lic06003 wrote:Hi guys,

You're welcome. When I was in your position I worried about everything having to do with starting law school, so I definitely understand where you're coming from.lic06003 wrote:Thank you for your help! It helped ease my nerves. See you guys April 9th

General consensus on the boards seems to be that UConn places as well or better than Northeastern in the Boston metro. Of those choices though UConn is probably best regionally for NY work..kgrl526 wrote:Well my choices are Northeastern, Washington & Lee, Wake Forest, Richmond, Iowa, Ohio State.....I am just trying to figure out what the best choice for me is going to be.
