Re: Stetson 2011 Applicants
Hello, all. I just joined this forum. Got my acceptance from Stetson via e-mail April 9th! Was absolutely shocked, honestly. I applied pretty late in the game. I'm now anxiously awaiting my acceptance package. Pretty sure I'll end up here this coming fall.
I'm not from the area and have never visited (besides visiting friends that went to UT when we were in undergrad). I'm trying to get housing situated. I'm pretty much willing to live anywhere that's cheap, close to campus, and relatively safe. I'm single and have unfortunately been on unemployment (which isn't even half of what I was making) for quite some time now. Thankfully I have no debt to speak of. Can anyone suggest any cheap apt complexes? TIA.

I sent one just to be safe.bmili wrote:Ill be applying next cylce, but did anyone submit those new evaluations to Stetson? I know that Stetson recommends on their website and on LSAC to submit 2 but am not sure if they are really that important.

Re: Stetson 2011 Applicants
I sent all three letters and both evaluations; it really can't hurt. They accept them, so I thought why not as I trust the people that wrote my letters and/or completed an evaluation.bmili wrote:Ill be applying next cylce, but did anyone submit those new evaluations to Stetson? I did not submit any evaluations, but I had 3 strong LORs and was admitted.bmili wrote:Ill be applying next cylce, but did anyone submit those new evaluations to Stetson? I know that Stetson recommends on their website and on LSAC to submit 2 but am not sure if they are really that important.
Any USF alumni on here who have submitted their Dean's Certification form? It says to submit to "Dean of Student's" or "Administratitve Officer" who has access to disciplinary records...would that be the registrar maybe? Anyone know? Also, did you fax, mail, or take in-person?

I'm USF -- during the commencement meeting yesterday we were told we could request the certification form from the registrar's office about 2 weeks after grades are posted.

This may be a good thing for future applicants. Law school tuition is too high.

They all get scholarships !
P.S. If it was my decision--which, unfortunately, it is not.

Well I'd say this is a good thing for the ones that were accepted. Obviously they didn't receive enough applicants this year...you guys should really try to negotiate scholarship money.

Hetherlys, have you spoken with Admissions? Have they given you any idea of a time frame when you will hear something? Good news coming soon I'm sure!

I called last week and was told i should hear something by the end of the week and to call in beginning of this week....called this week and was told that it looked that they had been doing something with it and I should have a decision by the end of the week. At this point, I can't do anything but laugh at the situation...they'll eventually tell me!jdwishes wrote:Hetherlys, have you spoken with Admissions? OMG, that's painful! Maybe they extended the deadline just so they could process their current apps...LOL. I feel your pain; the wait was excruciating. Hang in there and keep us posted!hetherlys wrote:I called last week and was told i should hear something by the end of the week and to call in beginning of this week....called this week and was told that it looked that they had been doing something with it and I should have a decision by the end of the week.
