Congratulations to those who got in yesterday!!

Got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that Admitted Student Days are March 22nd and April 9th. I'm probably going to the March one...

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll be getting my letter today because I only live 15 minutes walking from Hastings, but it's good to know in case it takes a while. I'll definitely be going to the April 9th ASD!

I'm pretty sure the March date is on the 26th, no? Perhaps I'm confused.

Just got rejected...wtf? I thought I was in for sure after getting into UCLA. Weird how that stuff works. I did apply LEOP though, even though I'm technically not qualified financially speaking. I didn't have the LSAT and GPA numbers anyway. Fuck it im going to LA.

I think it's more so that it's absolutely incredible that you got into UCLA with your numbers. Damn you must be stoked!

They don't, I talked to the Fin Aid office to clarify. I had to do it for some other schools, if you don't have to, avoid at all costs, it is a HUGE headache!

They just want their own supplemental form now.

Well I just reviewed my application and left out some really important details... Details like my personal statement and resume. Yeah.... WTF is wrong with me. And I did it only to Hastings. Awesome. Just emailed the office but I'm SOL yes?

Considering that their application deadline hasn't passed yet (3/1) I don't see why you wouldn't be able to add the missing items to your file. Mistakes happen! Don't let it phase you too much and just get the items in ASAP. (Good catch btw!)

As tough as it can be with all of the waiting and stress - try to stay positive! Maybe a follow-up email or phone call to confirm receipt? Could serve to both make you feel better and demonstrate how truly interested you are.

yield protect...they figure you are headed to Boalt or a T14 school, so they WL you and raise their selectivity. there's no way in the world you should consider Hastings with your numbers anyway. most T14 schools are still better for CA than Hastings.

I got WL too with a 3.7/167...I'm not trippin since it's not my top choice but I have to admit I'm a bit insulted...

It means they think you are not going to matriculate at their school because you will likely go elsewhere (a higher ranked school) so they WL you to protect their yield (the % of acceptances that actually go to the school).
