So I am not seeing what you are seeing. the way I am reading it is acceptances began the week after Thanksgiving and then ran through December 4th

maybe I am not able to click on something that you see...

The graph starts at Dec 1st week which is 0. The next point is Dec 2nd week with 9, so the green line draws from 0 to 9.

The graphs are crappy. they should have used bar graphs instead of line, there is no reason to connect the dots. So it should be, week by week starting from Dec 1(st week): 9 - 8 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 3 (Jan 2nd week) - etc...

Yeah those graphs are amazingly terrible... Also, I wouldnt count on too many people hearing back from Stanford this friday. Arent they notorious for April decisions??

Considering the graphs are a completely free resource, I think they're more than adequate. They provide a ballpark, and indicate how far apart acceptances, waitlists and denials come in cycles. They sure are better than nothing.

Just because it's free doesn't mean the quality should be expected to be less. I would love to know why they chose a line graph over a bar graph since it is about the same amount of work.

They are not necessary anyway because you can just go to LSN, sort by decision date, and copy/past into excel to make your own graph anyway (if you must have a graph).

ehh good luck to all.. Im putting a deadline on my school decision due to personal constraints so hopefully I get in one of the early batches.. not counting on it though since Stanford only accepts like 350 ppl a year.

Status checker still says, "Your file has been submitted for review." The date hasn't changed either, obviously.

tkgrrett, when will your personal deadline be? You have great choices.

Probably around mid-March. SO graduates in May and has to apply for jobs in an extremely competitive field so I really need it narrowed down to no more than 2 places so that she can start looking for jobs. In addition, I have a somewhat complex parental situation that will likely delay need-based aid so I dont want to risk waiting for Stanford's april batch and then ending up having to either miss other scholly deadlines or double deposit while waiting on an aid decision.

+1. This is the only decision I am genuinely unsure and nervous about. It also may be the only one that can save me from being trapped in the horrible northeast.

According to last year's cycle there were calls from 12/11~12/18, and then started up again for a couple of weeks in mid-January. In December all were acceptances, and 12/11 was by far the heaviest day of calls.
