so my status check says complete awaiting evaluation at the bottom, but in the paragraph above it still says processing. it has been like that for almost a month. what is the deal? is my status checker broken?

so I'm "under evaluation" and the paragraph above it says this:beachviolet11 wrote:so my status check says complete awaiting evaluation at the bottom, but in the paragraph above it still says processing. it has been like that for almost a month. what is the deal? is my status checker broken?
If your status is “Application Received – Processing in Progress” it means that the data entry and filing have not been completed on your application file as yet. Do not become concerned. It takes approximately 4 weeks from the date your application is received for us to complete processing. During this time it is likely that all items will be included in the Documents Missing section on the Documents Tab even though they are possibly in our office. There is no need to panic. When your status on this page changes to Incomplete, that is your indication that processing is complete and anything listed in documents missing is truly missing. (Read the FAQ about Fall Transcript Missing before contacting us.)

Rejected today. This really sucks as it was by far my top choice.

My status has been complete awaiting evaluation for nearly two months now. Your status checker is not broken. The turnaround time just seems a little long at Davis. Hope we hear something soon!beachviolet11 wrote:so my status check says complete awaiting evaluation at the bottom, but in the paragraph above it still says processing. it has been like that for almost a month. what is the deal? is my status checker broken?

The important part of the paragraph is the very first word. IF. Seeing as your status isn't 'Application Received -Processing in Progress' anymore then you can ignore it.

Re: UC Davis 2011
Got in yesterday and would have considered it, but when I saw the in-state tuition I thought I was looking at the out of state number and when I saw the out of state number I s**t a brick...
I can now confirm that the CA budget crisis is pushing me towards my OOS options. Even without the scholly that ND has offered me it, it would still be cheaper than in-state sticker at Davis...

I would like to just say that if you have financial need, they're very generous with need-based aid. My family is a blue collar "working poor" family and UCD offered me a $25,000 (annually) grant. If you take the total CoA and subtract $60,000 or $75,000 it's a little easier to swallow but yeah, California schools in general are just insane compared to other states' schools.fogcue2 wrote:Got in yesterday and would have considered it, but when I saw the in-state tuition I thought I was looking at the out of state number and when I saw the out of state number I s**t a brick...

Does anybody know how to pay the seat deposit?? The admitted students' website does not seem to have a place to enter credit card info.

I've been complete since late December. From a quick browse here this looks normal, but I'm just looking for some reassurance. Has anyone sent a LOCI before going into review/ do you think this would help?

I submitted in the middle of Dec (complete soon after) and went into review a few days ago.dswimmer wrote:I've been complete since late December. I dunno, I think a LOCI seems premature until the point you are held/waitlisted/deferred but others may disagree.

Out of curiosity: is there some correlation between numbers and "evaluation in progress" times? Do people with higher numbers tend to get a decision more quickly than those with lower numbers?

Re: UC Davis 2011
There could be. I'm sure there's less evaluation to be done for somebody whose numbers are very impressive and a sure admit. I'm as borderline as borderline can get, but hoping my application as a whole can somehow squeeze me in. REALLY praying for UCD.

Took me about two weeks for a WL. The day before I got my decision a bunch of accepts were handed out via Status Checker.Chouchous wrote:Out of curiosity: is there some correlation between numbers and "evaluation in progress" times? Congrats to the new admits. Make sure that when you visit you get Burgers and Brew, and sit outside on a nice summer night. That'll be it for HasTTTings.

Agreed. However, I went last night around 8pm and it had a big line out the door... so... go early!SBL wrote:Congrats to the new admits. Make sure that when you visit you get Burgers and Brew, and sit outside on a nice summer night. That'll be it for HasTTTings.
