I was notified via status checker. This is what will happen. Early Thurs, they send an email saying you will receive a decision by 5pm. Then, if you're Accepted or WL, they will send an additional email and letter to notify you, and status checker changes too. If you're Rejected you get no more communication; only status checker change.
Yeah...that is just going to suck to get that one email and then wait for 5-7 hours only to find out that I didn't get a second email...maybe I will just catatonically stare at my email for DAYS waiting for the email...its GOING TO COME...
I guess I'd be more like Nietzsche than Spinoza I guess

HAHA. If I were sitting on the W&L admissions committee, I definitely would let you in just for your dedication to this thread!
Well what the hell is your problem...........get your ass moving and get on the committee

Ok, somehow this comes off wrong in my head
Anyhow, W&L goes pretty low in terms of LSAT and GPA to make its class diverse. So as long as your LSAT is >150 and UGPA is >3.0, you have a chance. Don't be too pessimistic man.

I highly doubt that I will be livin the dream as you say! I don't know if I wrote a convincing enough application to make up for my low LSAT score.
But, I'm sure you will be fine! This is all a strange and random process.

But me to the head of the ass...class sorry.
That's just wrong.
I have a higher than 150 and higher than 3.0...but I didn't write the LSAT addendum like I should have and I just dont think its gonna work out...but I can HOPE!

Did you write the optional essay? I did not and hope it doesn't hurt.

Yeah well I can hope I guess...it is definitely a weird process. Maybe we'll know something tomorrow.

Not doing something optional will never hurt per se but in many cases it can help. At W&L it probably would help b/c W&L likes it when applicants show more interest (putting extra effort in to write the optional essay) and due to its honor code system, the optional essay would be a great way to showcase your ethics.

Describe an ethical dilemma and how you approached it.

ROFL...I should have written that...especially since I want to get my PhD in ethics.
If I get WL I am going to 1) write that, 2) write another "I really want to come to WL" and, 3) write a LSAT addendum.

I did write a one page Why I want Washington and Lee. Funny, because I talked a lot about how much the honor system appealed to me. Didn't write the ethical statement, because I could not really think of a time when I've faced a serious ethical dilemma. I guess my life has been really sheltered!

IDK...i over-analyze everything in this admission's cycle: should have written the optional essay...should have written the LSAT addendum (which in all honestly I really should have because its quite true that I suck at standardized tests)...should have done this or that...I just want it to be over.

I love how this thread grows by leaps and bounds on Thursdays. How many times do you guys think you'll be checking your email today?

I don't even want to admit how many times I've checked today already... fully knowing there's no chance of anything being there yet.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up! I just want to know sooooo badly even though they are probably going to smack me in the head and scold me for even thinking of applying.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
