I'm still on hold at most schools pending a February retake. So far dinged at UVA and Vandy and in at WUSTL. Pending at 6 schools, one of which is a certain reject, and one of which is a near certain waitlist. Not a fun splitter cycle.

Seriously? Waitlisted at Colorado. Fuck, there goes #1 and #2 within a week of each other.
Looks like it's:
Iowa - Instate
Denver- 20k/year or
St. Thomas full-ride

Aw man I'm sorry to hear that. If I don't get a really awesome scholarship, I will withdraw from Colorado and tell them to admit you. I hear Denver does very well in the state, so not a bad option. Iowa's a great school, too.chrisbru wrote:Seriously? Waitlisted at Colorado. Fuck, there goes #1 and #2 within a week of each other.

I feel like this cycle has been more reverse-splitter friendly. Thoughts?

It really does seem that boalt won't even consider an application if the GPA isn't above a certain level.SMA22 wrote:Also dinged at Boalt, in at UIUC with full ride. And I have to confess, I've been following your posts a little since we applied to so many of the same schools. Def let me know as you hear back. Even though your GPA is much better than mine, I can delude myself that your good cycle means I might not do so bad.

Re: 2010 Splitters Application Thread
Figured I'd post now that I'm unofficially shut out of the top ten...
3.2/177
Columbia - hold
Chicago - wl
NYU - silence (wl/ding based on other people's timelines)
Boalt - rejected
Penn - wl
UVa - wl
Duke -
NU - in
GULC - in (p/t)
UCLA -
USC -
GW - in (p/t)
Didn't apply to UMich because... um... oops. Anyways, looks like my cycle won't be officially over until August.

I'll check in, too;
UVA - Ding
Northwestern - Ding
UMinn - WL
W&L - WL
WUSTL - In with $84,000
UCLA - Nothing yet
Columbia (lol) - Nothing yet
University of Washington - Nothing yet
William & Mary - Nothing yet
Seattle University - In with $15k/yr, top 25% stipulation (kind of a weak offer, honestly. I was hoping for a full ride)
WUSTL seems really aggressive this cycle.

Re: 2010 Splitters Application Thread
Just got WL'd by Davis. I really liked Davis--it's the first law school I wanted to go to, I liked the idea of a small college town, and my wife's family lives very close by.
Now I'm convinced I won't get into any T1 schools and my future is dark and dismal.
Hold me, splitters thread.

(Updating to add new admittance)
Weak splitter here - 2.8, 165 (highest LSAT). Had an earlier 158 LSAT that I think will be largely overlooked, given the big point jump. Non-trad student out of UG for 16 years. Good WE, decent softs. I applied in mid to late January, thanks to the slow release of the Dec. LSAT scores.
In:
St. John's $$$
CUNY
Rutgers $$
Brooklyn (waiting to hear about $)
Waiting:
Columbia (hey, why not)
NYU (ditto)
GULC (wishing I had thought to also apply for PT program, but I didn't. Oops.)
Fordham (my top choice unless I pull off a T14 miracle)
Cardozo
Boston U.
Boston College
Northeastern
Seton Hall

To be honest, because they wouldn't give me a fee waiver. Spent the 1000 dollars I had for apps on my first choices, then just used all the fee waivers I was offered and WUSTL wasn't one of them.fatduck wrote:any reason you didn't apply to WUSTL? i got 75k with approx. your numbersDreamsInDigital wrote:SMA22 wrote:DreamsInDigital wrote:
