FSU has been the most complicated school I have applied to. It is also the only school that I actually paid an app fee for. They are requiring documentation for things that no other schools have had an issue with....such a pain in the ass. It is not high on my list and the only reason I am bothering with the documentation is because I paid for the app....

UF did that to me last year with my in-state status. Totally jerked me around on that then denied my petition to defer so I could finish another degree, even though I had an addendum on my app that told them I'd have to defer. State schools unfortunately have the capacity to display bureaucracy at its worst.

I don't think so. Pretty sure the admissions staff have M-F, 9-5 positions.

Havent recieved my packet in the mail yet, would anyboyd be able to tell me when FSU requires a committment/deposit? I'm worried that UF will take so long that I'll have no choice but to commit to FSU. It also doesnt help UF takes an additional 3-4 weeks to get back Fin. Aid info.

I believe the seat deposit (which is cheap, $200) is due by April 15, but I do not have the forms on me. If you feel like you will need the summer to decide you can put in a deposit on both schools and give yourself time to decide.

I filled out the scholarship information in the middle of December, does anyone have any idea when I will be hearing back?

I'll be taking a roadtrip to Gainesville and Tally at the end of February to make my decision, hope to see you guys there!

Just double checked my acceptance letter, the $200 deposit is due by April 1.

I went complete on 12/03/2010 and my application status is still showing application complete.
My numbers are 163/3.48 LSDAS gpa. Is there anyone on here with similar numbers who have not changed to under review. Should this be cause for any concern?

FSU is the only school with a status checker that I applied to mid December who still has me at complete. I'm confused as to how some schools i applied to a week after FSU could have already reviewed and decided on me and FSU still is sitting at complete. I'm even Under Review at schools I applied to early January......

I have friends at UF and not FSU haha. My highschool is pretty much all at UF.
I'm 90% set on Illinois, but I want to decide between FSU and UF for a Florida fall back if something goes down and I have to stay in state (family, health problems, etc)

Strongly considering it, but it's hard to pull the trigger when so many schools haven't gotten back to me about admissions decisions and/or scholarships! Kind of a good bind to be in but it's still causing some stress.
