There are still 50+ slots open, so I'm still thinking there will be another JS1 wave. Also, interestingly, on Friday the 5th6th, the interviews only go to noon (unless those slots have just been taken). I'll leave the speculation as to what that means to y'all.

ASW starts the 7th so it is probably so they can deal with us swarming campus on that Fridaynosocat wrote:You mean on Friday, the 6th? Maybe there'll be a rush to admit people ahead of the ASW???

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Hey all,
Long time lurker on this thread.
1. Would like to say thanks for the amazing, data, cat puns, and moral support.
2. Based on information from interviewers who were willing to disclose when to expect a decision, I heard something like "end of feb / beginning of march". Any speculation on how far in advance of the ASW on the 7th they would probably need to send new JS2s? People have to book flights, etc. right??? I would guess this Friday / next Monday/Tuesday for JS2's, right?
3. Details: I went complete on 12/15, had my interview on 1/14 (invited 1/8). What do you guys think that means for me? No word back from the wave in early Feb. Is that pretty standard? Sounds like only a few 1/8 invites have heard back already?

Just a broad memo to all of the newer folks in the thread, probably repeating someone else in the last few pages that I haven't read through. This cycle has been entirely different from past years, starting all the way from the first wave of JS2s (which didn't happen until mid-December, after ~10 consistent years of the first calls Thanksgiving week). Aside from the averages in the spreadsheet linked in the OP, there's very little guidance anyone can give you on when you may hear back, except what they've gathered from their own personal experience (including what they may have gotten from interviewers, who have no real incentive to be accurate). I know the process is stressful, and it's frustrating not to have anything to go on, but all you can really do is keep checking this thread and LSN and wait for news -- and remember that law school admissions offices move in mysterious ways.

Agreed. Life's too short to care too much about law school admissions; if you don't get in to HLS, etc., you can always apply again next year if you so choose.LetsGoMets wrote:Just a broad memo to all of the newer folks in the thread, probably repeating someone else in the last few pages that I haven't read through. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Completely speculating here, but I'm part of the 12/24 JS1 wave which I'm fairly certain has had many admits and some rejections. Because they've started admitted people from subsequent waves, my gut feeling is waitlist or, at best, a very late acceptance (although I think I'm being overly optimistic in that regard). Like Mets said, though:hayagreeva wrote:Hey all,

This is all just personal (somewhat baseless) speculation.LetsGoMets wrote:Just a broad memo to all of the newer folks in the thread, probably repeating someone else in the last few pages that I haven't read through. Yeah it was in response to someone with a power ranger avatar getting accepted (wasn't even any discussion of others switching before the tweet).

Meh. I'm a Nov JS1 still waiting. Frankly there's no point speculating especially given how different this cycle has been. I figure just take it as a good sign you've not been rejected.

Exactly, I'm the same and haven't lost hope yet. If you don't mind getting in off the waitlist, and LSN says you have a good shot at getting in someway, somehow, I wouldn't get too down until you get that rejection letter.mpc347 wrote:Meh.
