I truly, sincerely hope this happens to EVERY school that's playing absurd games with the applicant pool this year (I'm looking at you, Penn.)Arrow4Christ wrote:What in tarnation is going on in Morningside Heights?
I have a feeling this may be the result of Columbia's inexplicable practices this cycle:

So I guess Columbia is having a day of rest after yesterday's Holdpocalypse...(or at least they're abstaining from sending emails today)
I'm one of the few above 75ths who still has heard nothing since going complete last year, we're slowly but surely going extinct. Still crossing my fingers for some news this week that doesn't result in further demoralizations.

Given Chicago and NYU seemed to be in cohesion with the Ruby and Vandy, I wonder why they chose a Butler. I'm sure you can raise it, but that's kind of weird. Almost makes me somewhat hopeful that maybe I'll get a Ruby. False hope? Probably...residentemma wrote:In with a Butler too! Complete since November... didn't get anything in the mail, just a really short email with the letter attachedstats at/above both 75ths. Congrats to the other recent admits!

What's the general feel with the interview so far? Admits, dings, WL?
I saw on the Harvard spreadhseet it had it broken down where like 60% of those interviewed were accepted, but the same kind of data wasn't available for Columbia... maybe just not enough TLS people have been interviewed???

Does anybody else still occasionally use the status checker even though they know it doesn't give any new info? Or am I just the Michael Jordan of being neurotic?

Can anyone that had an interview share a bit on what the format was like and what kind of questions were asked? Perhaps compare it to interviews at other schools..
