Ding via email this morning. Submitted 1/11, Complete 2/3, UR 1/26. Good luck to the rest of you! I still have hope for the remaining folks who haven't received JR1's!

Probably not, but for those who maintain hope--when did the first joint-JR1/JR2s come out last year?

Yeah that´s what I read and my freakout was probably not necessary. Occasionally I get super neurotic

I don't even know why they've hung onto my file for this long. I'm below both medians.

Also, what is this joint JR1/J2 of which you speak?

When it gets really late, some times you get JR2 at the conclusion of the JR1 call, or shortly after (like same day).

Hey can anyone tell me what shows up on the caller ID when you get a JR one? And what time (ish) do people usually get calls (or is it any time during business hours)?
Also if you just get ding'd w/o a JR does it come via e-mail?

Well you get an e-mail letting you know that he wants to set-up a time to have the JR1 interview. So you know when he is going to call.

JR emails you first to let you know if you get a JR1. He gives you a time window during which he calls. I believe it is the 617 area code, although I could be wrong. I haven't gotten one.

Yes, the ding and holds (and probably WL eventually) come via email.

I checked this out on the Harvard 2010 thread a few weeks ago, but I think joint JR1 + JR2 started after April? I thought they were mostly for people who had initially been put on the waitlist.

haha, sorry screen was having trouble refreshing, didn't realize more posts had happened. Either way, +1 for the statement. Does that put me at an even 0? That seems to be HLS's current judgment as well.

Does anyone know what the average time is between a UR date and hearing any response is? Also is it normal to have a march UR date, seems super late to me (3/09/11)?

There's no average time between a UR date and hearing a response, it depends on too many factors. With a March UR date, expect to hear by the end of April, since I think that's when they try and get all their decisions sent out. Yes, it is normal to have a march UR date if you applied late.

Harvard Navel Gazing Office.

:P

But they should not forget what Nietzsche said: "If you gaze long into the navel, navel also gazes into you."
