Nope there has been at least one other round at the end of February (looks like 27th/28th)

They are not. The JS1 dings are the first of their kind, though, AFAIK; the consensus seemed to be that the last round was composed of "auto-dings" (no offense to anyone who was dinged last round--I didn't look at the stats)

Just got the ding this morning. Was a total reach being that I'm below both 25ths, so no biggie. Glad they didn't drag it out longer.

don't want to add more anxiety to the air, but last year's mid-march ding wave did last two days

Yea...I saw that and was curious about whether or not that was an aberration or whether there was a significant sample. I know there are applicants with weaker numbers who are still in the fold. Curious as to their methodology for this particular ding wave.
Maybe they left a "Yale" in their PS or something.

Said person was posting in here earlier and has a full ride to Penn. You can probably ask them what they think.

That person said they had a JS1 in December and didn't think it went well (i.e. fast and unspecific). Also, it's likely that we have more rejections either tomorrow or Wednesday and a JS2 wave before or on Wednesday as well (if last year's trends hold even a little).
