I'm so sorry! When did the email come in?
1:16 pm EST

And for those wondering, my status checker has changed to Decision Rendered
thanks for the info on the status checker. Of course, it might not be helpful to know b/c we don't know for sure whether the change to "decision rendered" is before, at the same time as, or shortly after the email. sorry everyone

So I take it that the emails are coming out in batches and just because I haven't received one yet doesn't mean I'm safe for the day?

That does seem to be the case, since I got mine long after the first one was reported.
As I thought, thanks, and sorry about the ding.

Has anyone been complete longer than October 13 without a JS1? Maybe I should update HLS with that stat for my 'file,' "Most Dedicated."

Seems like the dings were all for January JS1s and those without JS1s.

I don't think February JS1s are safe yet.

Has anyone ever been outright accepted without a JS1?

You have to do a JS1 before you're admitted, just part of their process

I'd imagine so. If they're weeding out all the dings for January JS1ers now, they're probably wrapping up JS2 decisions for those same people as well. And they still have another wave of dings/WLs and JS2s to do for the February JS1ers before April 1st so they don't exactly have a whole lot of time.
