I don't know why people complain about TLS, you guys are fantastic. I've decided to stop worrying about my phone, if it rings, great
Does Harvard send rejections by email or owl?

As an Oxbridge student, I can say I'm fairly sure owl mail is unique to us.

Hypo, you are hands-down the best predictor on here... soooo, lets not go scaring anyone now, mmkay? ha ha
In all honesty, I wish your avatar was a Miss Cleo. Often I have thought of asking you questions directly and wholeheartedly taking your answer as absolute truth and my intentions are not to patronize you. I legit respect your guess tactics!

poptorts, this is the nicest thing anyone has told me in weeks, and that includes my AnBryce email yesterday!
I will not hesitate to cite this endorsement of my data analysis and trends-prediction skills at a potential future job interview.

(I had to google Miss Cleo btw). And just to calm everyone down, I'm not actually predicting a large batch of dings this week - I was just being fake pessimistic.

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone was in my situation or knows an answer to this. I was put on hold in late January and have yet to receive any call from Harvard. I know that people sometimes get put on hold prior to getting a call, but it has been a full month since and I haven't heard a thing. Am I out of the running for C/O 15

?

It looks like you're new here, so I assume you haven't seen the "Held @ Harvard" thread:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7&t=175633
Short version: there are hundreds of people in the same situation as you. Based on past cycles: if you're lucky you will get a decision in late February or March; if you're unlucky, you'll be waiting until at least April (longer if you are wait-listed). There is still a decent chance you will be accepted, but how decent is a matter of debate.

+1
bogm2012's post was fantastic, and everyone on here has been great. No more depressed staring at my phone.
I hope everyone longing for Harvard to call hears something soon.

Congrats on the JS1, erinbecca. Unless the admissions office is acting extremely quickly, you won't get the JS2 tomorrow--so don't stress and have fun this weekend.

Aw, congrats erinbecca!

Seconding soj's recommendation to relax over the weekend. Stressing about the JS2 is insane (though completely understandable), but I hope you hear back soon!

erinbecca wrote:Hi Board! Lurker here. I had my JS1 today: she was friendly, easy to talk to, and it went very quickly - probably fifteen minutes tops. I never thought I'd get this far, so I hadn't dedicated a lot of time to worrying about Harvard...but you'd better believe I've spent the last thirty-six hours ALL OVER this board.
And now, the waiting...
[Slightly fudged numbers: 171/3.8, non-trad student with strong softs. 11/24 submit, my application is still 'under review', and I got the JS1 email yesterday morning.]
Congrats erinbeccca! So you submitted in November? Was your application held before your JS1 invite?

Would it be silly to update my file with a new rec letter? This letter will def be the strongest academic letter on my file. If so, is there anything to be gained by asking the recommender to make it Harvard-specific?
