JS1 on Dec 24 but I didn't even check the Email!
Saw it today.
Will be interviewed next month (I saw only four dates available when I registered: Jan 14 15 16 17). Is it too late?

Of course not! Best of luck on your interview and congratulations on the JS1!Catherinelo365 wrote:JS1 on Dec 24 but I didn't even check the Email!

There are tons of resources on here about interviewing; be sure to ask if you need help finding them (aka I'm too lazy to go find them now, but I'm sure someone else would be happy to later.)

Where in the world does this sentiment come from?Catherinelo365 wrote:Is it too late?
The admissions cycle isn't even halfway over. The majority of HLS c/o 2017 students have not yet been admitted.

As someone who seems familiar with HLS admissions, do you have an idea of what generally happens to applicants who interviewed fairly early (Oct or November) but have not heard back yet? I checked out past waitlist and held threads but it seems like a large majority of posters therein had no JS1s or got them after being held or waitlisted, and it was hard to find anyone who interviewed so long before the H-W action.TripTrip wrote:Where in the world does this sentiment come from?Catherinelo365 wrote:Is it too late?

I submitted on Dec 11, and went complete on Dec 19th, and got JS1 on the 24th. Is it a good sign or a bad sign that Harvard took only 5 days to complete review of my application?

Obviously it's a terrible sign. You should probably just forego the interview. Found some good resources for the interview from last year's cycle, http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 5#p6232471.
Was wondering if someone could direct me to people's experiences this year either ITT or in a seperate guide / post.
Thanks and good luck all!

Don't be worried yet. I got my JS1 3 days after going complete and I know several people who went complete around the same time but didn't get their invite until later, and a few of them have now been accepted and I haven't.
I don't think there's been a link established between the complete--invite gap and the strength of one's application, at least when we're not dealing with people getting invited months after going complete.

Has anyone seen someone get a JS1 months after going complete specifically in URM cases?

Anxiety can induce a lot of irrationality!!!

You will be fine. I guess I'm the last one who got JS1 before the holiday. You will probably get one after Jan 14th (I guess that's when they go back to work from winter break), and that's why my interview date is on Jan 14th.the_pakalypse wrote:

^^Do you think she woke up one morning and said: I think I'll go to law school today
Catherinelo, you might want to read through this thread a bit to bring yourself up to speed. There's a zero percent chance that HLS is out on vacation until January 14th seeing how TLSers have scheduled interviews earlier than that. Just because the first day available when you went to schedule was 1/14, that doesn't mean that there weren't earlier interview days that were already taken. hth

Is anyone else here randomly adding the people in the Class of 2017 Facebook group? I figure if the admissions people see that I'm friends with them, I'll get a boost.

Hi,
This is a random question, but does Harvard dial from a 617 number (Cambridge area code) or 661 (a skype number)?
Also, do you receive an email in addition to a phone call? Or is it just a phone call?
