Okay, fair enough. It's just that people usually use that space to refer to the law school they're attending.NancyBotwin wrote:Um, ug, maybe?galahad85 wrote:Your profile says Penn Class of 2010.MetsFan wrote:called.... still no decision wtf

haha. Thanks. I wish I would've chosen my avatar before my username though. Nonetheless, I'm going to continue to try and earn that spot.

Re: Cornell waiting room
I've been avoiding this thread since my reserve decision. But I did call today to confirm something and I asked her to clear up the difference between reserve and deferral. She said deferral is only if your file didn't go EAC in time. So instead of being considered EA you are deferred to regular decision. Reserve is the Early Action decision to hold your file until later in the process. Not sure if anyone still was wondering, but there ya go.

Hey guys. I have remained at Status: Applied since 12/01. The rest of my schools have long gone complete so I don't think I'm missing anything. Does anyone know why this may be happening or did anyone encounter the long wait as well?

Because they are extremely busy with EA and have not gotten to RD yet to really process their apps at all.Boro88 wrote:Hey guys. I have remained at Status: Applied since 12/01. Re: Cornell waiting room
No problem. Just realized that could have come off as snippy, when I was actually just trying to be quick. There are a couple of other people that are also still at Applied (all RD). So I would not worry too much about it. However, you can call the admissions office just to make sure that they are not missing anything from you. They are really nice there.Boro88 wrote:CyLaw wrote:Because they are extremely busy with EA and have not gotten to RD yet to really process their apps at all.Boro88 wrote:Hey guys. I'm in your boat. EAC 11/13, already called yesterday, don't want to call them again until DR. Heinous.frix0803 wrote:still no decision (called earlier) 11/13 EAC

Re: Cornell waiting room
Called this morning--"Reserve." I also asked her the difference between being put on "Reserve" and being "Deferred," she said that my application will be re-reviewed by the admissions committee when they get back in January (which I recognize is different from what most people have been hearing). Anyway, I couldn't hide the disappointment in my voice, she probably mistook it for confusion, and explained how I could update my file (either that or she felt sorry for me!). All I could think about, is the 4 or 5 LOCI's I sent last cycle trying to get off of last years "reserve", than "summer wait list."
I can see why some of you withdrew after being deferred/reserved from EA. I on the other hand, am gonna start hammering out another LOCI (read: I am avoiding the fact that my efforts at this point would be better spent retaking the LSAT).

Re: Cornell waiting room
Just called out of curiosity to see what was up, the lady on the phone said that all EA people will have decisions sent out by next Thursday at the latest. I'm sure you all already know this, but she said that there is a delay and when your status checker changes to DR then that means your letter has been sent out, she said once you go DR that you can call the admissions office and they will inform you over the phone of their decision.

I'm still stuck at Applied since 12/03. Guess we're getting backlogged after the Early applicants, but I hope they get to us soon as those are wrapping up.Boro88 wrote:Hey guys. BTW, for anyone who's curious, I'm a UG at Cornell and they just sent out an email saying the University will be closed from 12/24-1/4; dunno if this applies to the Law School, or its admissions council, but I wouldn't expect any action during the week between Christmas and New Years, though I guess people already assumed the earlies would hear before then and the regulars wouldn't hear till after.

Still EAC 11/5. I'm not in a big rush to call and get my rejection.

IMO a rejection is better than a waitlist that is impossible to get off of.NayBoer wrote:Still EAC 11/5. I'm not in a big rush to call and get my rejection.

12/14 updates are NOT all reserves.
In with dean's scholarship consideration.
Low 170s, 3.9ish
