Status still at complete but allowed into Admitted Students website today. I guess I'm in!

Ugh. Applied 10/26, got the hold/courtesy email in January. STILL WAITING. I didn't write any of the extra essays. I do not understand how nearly four months is not long enough to make a decision.

I applied at the end of December, complete on 2/10. I am 170, 3.58. Pretty good resume, LORs, wrote one of the essays.

Couple of questions for you all:

1. I am seeing that some of you with numbers higher than me are getting slow played or held or waitlisted (or some combination). I'm assuming this is some sort of YP thing... Do you think my numbers are more inthe acceptance range?? (I can't imagine they would be too high, maybe too low)

2. I know it varies quite a bit but how long after a complete date do their decisions come out? couple of weeks? months?

1. I don't think it's been pure YP. Some people with really high numbers, who didn't show much interest, maybe, but there have been plenty of applicants with strong numbers who've been accepted to go with those that got rejected or haven't heard yet. Others may disagree, but I personally feel that Dean Z is really looking for interest and fit, not just numbers, in the applicants she accepts. If she wanted to YP, she would have waitlisted in stead of rejected.

Your GPA is a little lower than Michigan's profile, and your LSAT is a little higher. You definitely have a shot numerically. I think it will really come down to how you presented yourself, and the interest you've shown.

2. It really depends on the applicant. Some have come quickly. Others have been waiting since Sept or Oct. If they like your app, I'd think you'd hear within a month or two. If they can't make that quick decision, it would likely drag on into March...

I dunno if you're in or not, but the admitted students site isn't down, so I'd think you'd be able to get in clean...
