I'm having trouble seeing any real pattern in the UR groupings, except that splitters are more represented UR 12/9 and there are a few auto-admits in 12/10. I'm not sure I learned much from compiling this information.

what state are u in? if you don't mind me asking. i went DR on 12/9 and did not get anything in the mail today (im in new jersey)...so I'm hoping there is still a chance I have an acceptance coming..

Am I the only one who has received this email? For those interested, the whole thing says:

Each year, a large number of candidates submit applications to Georgetown Law early in the process. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult. Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have had their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted.
Once we have a better sense of the entire applicant pool, the Committee on Admissions will review your application again in January. No additional information is necessary, and the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) will continue to send us updates, which we will add to your file. A final decision will be mailed no later than Friday, February 26, 2010.

You're on hold. Better than a waitlist, worse than an acceptance (obviously).

I received this as well about two weeks ago and posted it here. Don't blame you for not hunting through thread. As far as I can tell, you, me and only one other person on here has made mention of this letter so it seems they are being truthful that it is a small group.

I have a 167 with a 163 retake (UGH I SUCK) and I figure that's the problem. I have strong softs, if that means anything, and in this case I think it might.

I 'd like to interpret this to mean that they will not reject us because they could have just done it outright. But they could just be stringing us along. Surely they are just waiting around to make sure no one better comes along before making a long term commitment to our relationship.

Wait a minute, I don't believe you can really guess the "batch" in this case. There's a perfectly good chance that 12/9 and 12/10 UR's will be DR'd at the same time in which case figuring out the batch isn't going to be all that helpful. Besides, it's pretty clear that waited ti'll the last minute for ED's. So many people are going to go out that I bet it's guaranteed to be a mixed bag.

That being said, I would consider it a miracle if I got in.

i received this email today as well, except I applied under early decision and now my letter says that i'll be considered in the regular decision batch - final decision by feb. 26 2010 too. at least it means all hope isn't lost...yet?

If all of those applied to every T10, they would get into at least 3. If I had those numbers, I'd be looking higher than GT.
