DLS. Finally.
Tried calling, no answer, but I'll try later throughout the day. Bets on whether it's a WL or a ding?
ETA: WL. It's been a pleasure waiting it out so long with you fine people, but my cycle is officially over. Best of luck to those still waiting!

But really, it's got to be a WL.

btw, getting rejected from SLS was SO freeing. A WL would've been terrible for me because I probably wouldn't have gotten off the WL, but would've made a poor decision because of it.

Still submitted for review, though I'm sure I'll DLS by week's end.
I'm betting carbon got a WL; couldn't see her getting anything less.

This is supporting my theory that the Admissions Office is doing some sort of March Madness-esque tourney with the remaining applications... I bet you just killed mine and advanced to the next round, arrgggarrggg wrote:Still submitted for review, though I'm sure I'll DLS by week's end.

This seems to be a recurring theory. If both of us thought of it, it can't be wrong!cwid1391 wrote:I like to think that they are having a head to head 128 application tournament with our applications. Those who make it out of the first two rounds get waitlisted and the last 16 standing get offers of admission. Seems about right.

DLS. Waitlisted.
More waiting. Great. Just what I wanted.

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
Could we get some sort of spreadsheet going on the SLS WL thread for all of the waitlisted candidates where they indicate whether they are staying on so we have some idea of how large this waitlist is? it seems huge to me.

"A decision letter has been sent."
Called, and "it looks like we have offered you a place on the waitlist." Given that I'm holding acceptances from HLS and YLS, I won't accept the position, so decision pending, my cycle is done!!!

@ jbagelboy: Here's my attempt at a spreadsheet. I left all of it publicly open for editing so we can add/change/pretty it up as necessary.

DLS --> WL
Gonna wait it out but as far as I'm concerned, my cycle is over
Time to drink and start hating Stanford! This worked out perfectly as I'm 10 minutes from Miami beach right now

I'm still in review, but does anyone know the stats for the waitlist? Do people get in of this list?

DLS ---> waitlist.
Apparently 220 days wasn't enough waiting.
ETA: so if I already sent a LOCI a couple months ago, what do I do if I wanna ride this thing to the end? Send another one? Wait? Do nothing? I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE STANFORD ACTUALLY TELLING ME SOMETHING!!!

I'm still here. I sent in a LOCI as a last resort a few days ago, but kind of felt like a police negotiator talking to a crazy person:
"Stanford, look! I'm still in review - YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS."

DLS. Waitlist. *balloons*
The girl on the phone sounded so bored. Little did she know how happy I was to finally get a decision (even though it was totally expected. Stanford WL YP strategy FTW). Bye Stanford thread.

Ahh. Well NYU is an amazing school. but financially wouldn't Cal (aren't you in-state?) and UVA both end up cheaper if the numbers listed in your profile are accurate?sinfiery wrote:Moneyjbagelboy wrote: wait sinfff you withdrew from Cal? Why?plus I've deposited at NYU
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
