I'd also consider myself borderline (at LSAT median, .01 below GPA median), but (according to LSN) they seem to love pretty much all, 3.5+ 169s. After waiting this long, anything but an acceptance will be a huge disappointment (plus, this is my best shot at a T14, so if I don't get in here I may get blanked).

I'd think you'd at least get into Cornell, with a decent shot at GULC as well. Any reason you didn't apply to any T30 schools as safeties?

Cornell's apps are up 52% and I applied the day before the deadline, so I'm not holding my breath. GULC interviewed me, held me, and has put me UR 4x over 3+ months with nothing to show for it. I didn't apply below T14 because I figured that even if I didn't get in this year, I would next year or the year after. While I'd like to go straight on from UG, it's not imperative. At this point, I'm hoping for WLs instead of dings because hopefully a new and improved Feb LSAT (knock on wood) would get me off them.

Oh crap! I tried to log into the admitted students' site for the first time today, even though my status checker is still at "Complete".

I got into the Admitted Students site, and under "Mail & Money" it says that an offer packet was mailed today! My first T14 acceptance, I can't believe it!

Numbers are 3.8/170ish. Applied first week of January, wrote Why Michigan essay, lots of w/e.

I got into the Admitted Students site, and under "Mail & Money" it says that an offer packet was mailed today! My first T14 acceptance, I can't believe it!

Well they sent me that email saying "we know you applied early and everything, but here at michigan, we think we are cooler than everyone, so we will get back to you when we feel like it" (may not be the exact wording)

That's just ridiculous. I applied Nov 4 and still feel like that is way too long. Especially because people with comparable (but worse) numbers who applied long after me have been accepted left and right. I feel like they must hate my PS or something.

I concur. That is ridiculous. I think my "Why Michigan" essay was really good, but I don't think it was 3 LSAT points good.

+/- 3 pts is statistically insignificant according to the LSAC (so overcoming that with a WM shouldn't be tough). Not that any law school actually seems to believe that.
