Well just received a really crappy financial aid package from Columbia (gave me less than Boalt if that gives you an idea.) If I don't get into SLS I might wait another year and bump up my LSAT a bit.

That would be way too many admits, even optimistically. Two admits overall from now until the 30th would be 14 admits, nearly 10% of the class. Two TLS admits per day would equate to about 10 overall admits per day, which would mean 70 overall admits by the 30th... nearly half the class.cwid1391 wrote:I just want there to be like 2 admits per day, just to give me some faint glimmer of hope in this endless of sea of WL and Dings.
How about one TLS admit between now and late May?

Went DLS on Friday, email still in the wrong case, but I lacked the fortitude to call and get an answer.
Saturday, around noon, I get a phonecall. 650 area code. Surprised and confused, but hoping that the capitalization truism is about to be destroyed, I answer.
"Is this NJT---," they ask, with the first name correct and the last name muffled. Expectations growing, I answer, "This is NJTerp." "What did you say the last name was?" "Terp." "Did you have a car reserved for pickup from the Stanford University Enterprise location?" "No, sorry, you have the wrong number."
My ding letter arrived on Monday.

The "if" alone syntactically keeps applicants in perpetual abeyance.whereskyle wrote:Okay, the "if" is proof that they are fucking with us.

DLS --> WL
I want to pretend that my cycle is over and that I'll forget about both the Harvard and Stanford WLs, but I'm just lying.
What I really want is more waiting. Let's do this.

I learned a new word today
Applicant - Noun
A person who makes a formal application for something, typically a job.
"The applicant had, mistakenly, expected to hear back from the school to which he applied."This is funny. But seriously can you please use it in a sentence ?

Sending my love to the SLS thread! Y'all were a ton of fun. I think retaking is futile at this point, so I'll be making my way to the Bay. Good luck!

Thank ya. I hope you all end up in Palo Alto, but, if you don't, holler atcha girl.
btw, getting rejected from SLS was SO freeing. A WL would've been terrible for me because I probably wouldn't have gotten off the WL, but would've made a poor decision because of it.
