My status checker went UCR 3 and UCR 4 (???) 3/25 and 3/26, then my letter was mailed yesterday and I received the call around 430 pm.

I hope this gives people hope, but I was UR1 12/13 then UR2 03/26 before I got the call yesterday at 4:30! 171/3.6. Definitely thought I was heading for the WL because I had been sitting UR for SO long.

+1 Just went to 3/28 after sitting at a date in late February. Numbers are on the low side.

Same. I went complete on 11/17. UR2 on 1/7. Finally UR3 today 3/28. Argh hope this means that the four months of waiting is finally over...

People have been asking this type of question for weeks now (myself included) and nobody has responded saying they've had success this year. There are definitely a bunch of people with financial aid appeals pending, so I think it's quite possible that NYU just hasn't yet responded to anyone's efforts to negotiate or beg for more money.

On the whole, though, NYU appears to be pretty stingy with their scholarships this year and, in some cases like NoodleyOne's, they're just being rude and unresponsive.

I don't have much optimism for success in the negotiation/appeal battle many of us willl soon be fighting.

Not to pry, but what are people trying to negotiate from/to? Is it like, sticker to 30k? 60k to 90k+? It's a big class and I wonder how much there is to go around.

I have 50k and I don't think I'll go without more. CLS at sticker seems more worthwhile to me. That 4/22 deadline

I'm trying to go from $15k to $25k ideally. Yeah, anti-4/22. We have to accept and pay the $600 deposit by that date right? At least NYU takes credit cards...

I'm concerned this is a bottom of the pile situation, I mean almost three months without looking at my app after an initial review :/ not boding well and yet I'm still holding out for RTK
