In today! Way pumped. No email. No phone call. No status change. I just had a folder in my mailbox after work today. I also noticed my phone number has a / in place of one of the digits on the status checker. They included a flash drive, which is creative/cool.

Just got the WL email. Kind of broke my heart, but I guess I'm glad it wasn't a straight ding.

Wow, you guys are making me want to cry about my Stanford rejection, too. At work as well and have been feeling crappy, even though I saw it coming.

I think I'm going to stick it out until at least April 30th. My Vandy deposit isn't due until May 2 so why not?
Historically there hasn't been a ton of movement on the WL though, right?

Did anyone else find the waitlist e-mail a little patronizing? I am not worried that I could do the work at Michigan thanks...

I can see how it might come off that way, but I kind of liked the informal tone tbh. Made it feel like they at least really thought about me.chasgoose wrote:Did anyone else find the waitlist e-mail a little patronizing? I am not worried that I could do the work at Michigan thanks...

"Let me acknowledge that your reaction to being placed on the waitlist may well be disappointment, or even outright annoyance. It may feel like a message that the Admissions Office thinks you're not capable of doing the work here. That would be the wrong conclusion to draw. Assembling a class is a difficult process, requiring a lot of balance and no small amount of prediction. And it does not operate perfectly..."
