Re: Cornell waiting room
EAC 11/13 just found out I was "reserved" to regular admission. I'm not completely clear what that means. Did I get deferred?

Re: Cornell waiting room
I've been deferred as well. That seems to be a favorite move of Cornell's this application cycle. My Dad says that it amounts to a rejection and to move on, but I don't think so. I never could have forseen myself even having a chance at an Ivy League with my numbers, even with URM. I've got a foot in the door and I'm going to be doing everything possible to bust it open from here on out.
We Texans don't give up easy - we're a little stubborn like that. Good luck to the rest of you. It's a good thinkg I took the December LSAT, that score should be coming in soon and maybe it'll be strong enough to give me some momentum.
The lady who answers the phone is really nice.

Re: Cornell waiting room
i was deferred too, though some weeks ago.
if anyone of you who were deferred had a 165-167 on the lsat, retaking and getting at least a 168 would greatly improve your chance of getting in upon re-evaluation of your app, since it's likely you already have 1 stat (gpa) above median.

Re: Cornell waiting room
so i saw while randomly browsing the columbia thread that being deferred from ED at columbia is essentially a soft reject, and that no one gets accepted after being deferred ED. anyone know if this is similar for cornell? i don't want my hopes unnecessarily inflated and/or crushed, i'm just looking for an honest answer so i can weigh my chances. is getting deferred EA at cornell a rejection? thanks all!

Re: Cornell waiting room
Since my checker never updated, it's hard for me to know when they actually made my decision. My numbers are 169 3.85.
I def think that anyone who is still EAC should call now.
