Yeah, same dates. I got the WL but I'm alright with that. I don't imagine you'll be dinged so I would take the silence to be neutral to slightly good?

My status checker is tweaking out. First, it didn't let me in. I tried again thinking my decision would be there but was still 3/27 UR. I just tried one more time and I had to validate with a captcha. UGHH!!! Just tell me that you want me to come to your school and you're going to give me a full ride, pretty please with a cherry on top.

Why are the multiple URs cause for dismay? I applied with the Feb LSAT (even had to sign a letter saying I realized it put my application at a severe disadvantage). I'm slightly below both medians but have strong softs. I've been URed twice this month, once a few weeks ago and again today.

Definitely don't give up hope yet people!! Like I wrote yesterday, I was shocked when I got the phone call after submitting in September and being stuck under review since 10/16. I had long since stopped checking my status checker and was ready for the waitlist letter or rejection letter to arrive in April.

It looks like NYU is going back through the applicants that they hadn't reached a decision on one more time before sending out their waitlist. And it looks like they are dipping into the 169 LSATs too

169 (third try)/LSAC gpa 4.14/non-URM.

Remember: it's not over until you get the official decision!

Thanks! And sorry, I hadn't been keeping track of my status checker. I had completely given up on an acceptance and was planning on submitting a seat deposit to Vandy. I had no idea my numbers would get me so far.

Now I guess the question is, do I pay sticker for NYU? Or a much discounted price at Vandy (where my SO lives)? Really didn't think I would have to make this decision.

I see 2 people on this page get accepted with 169 3.9+ but i got rejected with a 168 3.9+, not even a wait list. There are also several people on LSN with my exact stats that got in. I really don't understand

I want to work in the south, and my SO is in Nashville. So I think I know the answer. But it is hard to pass up a school like NYU, even with a mountain of debt.

Cornell- less $$ and similar employment numbers to Vandy. Not worth it just to brag that I went to an Ivy League/T14
Duke- didn't apply. Probably a bad decision, but I seriously thought Vanderbilt was a reach school at the beginning of this cycle. Turns out I was being more than conservative haha.

My dad for some reason thought I got into NYU and told his friend who's a Columbia law grad, and the friend emailed me to say how great NYU is and that I should go there. It was really nice of him to email me but yeahhhh fuck you.
