i just posted this in the c/o 2015 thread, but whatever. last year's c/o 2014 thread seems to indicate that people got their financial aid notifications around march 30th!

So... how long is it usually before people update again after their first update? I updated 3/13. This should be happening soon, right?

I've also moved today (3/22). The last time it moved was all the way back in December.

Anyone have any predictions about what we're about to hear or when we're going to hear it? Going off of Law School Numbers, it looks like a number of rejections/waitlists still need to be sent out. That being said, I'm holding onto hope that we could still be the last little wave of acceptances.

Another december -> 3/22 update. It feels good to see some change on the status checker for once.

Got my finaid email from cornell. I loved how at the end it talks about the moral need to repay the loans. Moral? How about legal. It is law school isnt it? Haha

Your conception of how much money they give out is really inflated.

Is Cornell stingy? I got 67,500 from UCLA and I'm just at their medians

Sadly. Most people with a 169 don't get much (if anything).

I am going to try to negotiate with them, though.

I guess the reason I haven't been accepted yet is because my 176 makes me overqualified?

lol at 3.2 GPA

Cornell is relatively generous for a school in its position in the rankings, but yes, stingy (compared to non t14 schools which are substantially inferior from a job prospects perspective and to those schools ranked substantially above them).

My offer was identical to my UCLA offer, however bear in mind UCLA doesn't guarantee it for all three years (unless that's a merit scholly, which the fuckers in Cali stiffed me on).

No idea what to say then. UCLA stiffed me- Cornell should probably give at least half of the UCLA one.

I'm running a bit late on my financial aid stuff, I just sent in the financial aid information sheet. I hope this doesn't hurt my chances at actually getting something :?
