Also everyone might be interested in knowing that there is a new business law journal and a new environmental law journal. They each have provisional status for the next three years and will be publishing 1 issue per year. After 3 years they will have full status and full school funding if all goes well. I have heard that the environmental law journal is going to let 1L's have some minor participation in the journal, which is pretty rare (the gender law journal already has 1L participation).

This is out of control. Applied 10/18. NOTHING. Why? If I didn't like Michigan so much, I'd just withdraw at this point.

Yea I could see not needing to go if you're already summer starting. I'm close to certain I'll be going to Michigan, but it's not official yet and I could use one more dose of kool-aid to reinforce that this is the right thing to do. And that six figure loans will be worth it.

It hasn't yet. Generally, if you're admitted, the first thing you'll be able to do is log into the ASW. So, the ASW kinda becomes the de facto status checker.

Im sorry - I know this has probably been answered 500 times but I can't seem to find anything in all these pages! When can we expect to find out about merit-based aid? Do we have to wait for a snail-mail letter or is there some other way to find out?

Congratulations to you as well! Yes, unfortunately we both have to wait for the snail mail to find out. If you click on mail and money on the bottom left side of the ASW, it should say under communications when all the info will be mailed. Mine says tomorrow.

Yea, it will say that until financial aid puts something up there, be it a scholarship or your full financial aid package (i.e. over the weekend they posted subsidized and unsubsidized stafford loans in addition to scholarships that were already there).
