My theory is that there's a huge wave of decisions coming--so big that the status checker cannot update properly. Once it does update, we'll all have reached decisions. Simultaneously.

Absolutely no justification for this taking 4 months. I got that semi-hold email awhile back so at least that means they looked at my app and couldn't decide yet. But how much longer can they push this for people who applied in September and October?

Absolutely no justification for this taking 4 months. I got that semi-hold email awhile back so at least that means they looked at my app and couldn't decide yet. But how much longer can they push this for people who applied in September and October?

That's just ridiculous. I applied Nov 4 and still feel like that is way too long. Especially because people with comparable (but worse) numbers who applied long after me have been accepted left and right. I feel like they must hate my PS or something.

Plus, the April date they set in the hold email is ridiculous. At least my GULC hold set a 2/26 deadline.

I'll give them the slightest benefit of the doubt since I'm sort of a borderline candidate. I expected them to wait a bit longer on my app, but I didn't think it would be this long. Hopefully they make the wait worth it with an acceptance.
