i got a DR today 12/09...I would be shocked if there wasn't at least some acceptances in the 12/9 batch

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Why do we assume that there's any logic to all of us being UR 12/9? Doesn't that make more sense for being DR?
Edit - but if we do all get the same decision, my prediction is WL.

I'm ED, PT/FT... not sure what UR means. It seems like most accepted applicants had an interview first. So, unless I get an interview request in the next couple days, I'm thinking that I'm WL, deferred, or rejected (no, please no, not yet Gtown!!).

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
So, my only LSAT take was Dec '09, meaning I'm wayy behind the folks on this thread who have had their files complete for months.
I realize my diminished likelihood, but during the extra 3 months of studying my PTs went from 167-8 to 177-180, so I'm secure in the knowledge that it was worth it.
Question is - if my file is complete ahead of my score being reported somewhere around the last week of '09/first week of '10 as is expected, will I be in the midst of a rush of others, or behind/ahead of the rush of late applicants.
And if I scored 174 or higher as I hope, how much does this matter? My GPA is around 3.7, college athlete, will be a few years out of UG with good but not otherworldly softs.
PS Is this is O/T? Should I just start a whole thread of my own in the 'what are my chances section'?

January is "on time", not early. But honestly, if you got a 170+ then the wait was worth it. A few weeks early makes less of a difference than a 170 on a file. Besides, it appears that a lot of these applications are just getting looked at. You didn't really miss anything.

I was UR 11/18 the first time, no update since. Any guesses as to what goes on when they update the UR date, and what if means if they didn't update mine? Just curious.. also what does PT/FT mean?mrc30 wrote:UR 11/18 updated to UR 12/9

I was Application Complete 11/04 (or 11/06??) and my status changed for the first time today, to Application Under Review 12/09. I was starting to worry that they forgot about me!

I have a committee requested interview . . . anyone care to venture a guess as to whether this is good/bad/indifferent? i'm going with good just because my lsat is under their 25th so anything other than rejection is a step farther than i expected, but in more practical terms, does having an interview give me renewed hopes? anyone else in the same boat?

I'll say to have hope, but perhaps I'm biased because I'm waiting for mine right now!smiley wrote:I have a committee requested interview . . . anyone care to venture a guess as to whether this is good/bad/indifferent? i'm going with good just because my lsat is under their 25th so anything other than rejection is a step farther than i expected, but in more practical terms, does having an interview give me renewed hopes? anyone else in the same boat?

But seriously, they wouldn't interview someone if they expected to reject them. It would be a waste of their, and the alumn's time. Might be to see if we should be accepted or waitlisted. Perhaps it's to help order the waitlist. Who knows?
I got the request on 12/1, but still haven't heard from the alumn. Arrgh... how frustrating.

Anyone know how long after DR it is until it is possible to get on the admitted students website?

Someone posted statistics of this some pages back. Most people who are interviewed are either accepted or priority waitlisted. I think only like 10 or 20% are denied.smiley wrote:I have a committee requested interview . . . anyone care to venture a guess as to whether this is good/bad/indifferent? i'm going with good just because my lsat is under their 25th so anything other than rejection is a step farther than i expected, but in more practical terms, does having an interview give me renewed hopes? anyone else in the same boat?

Wow, you have more patience than I do! Have you tried contacting them to make sure they received your interview acceptance email?smiley wrote:well if it makes you feel any better my request came around 11/19 and i haven't heard from the alum. maybe they changed their minds . . .xcountryjunkie wrote:I'll say to have hope, but perhaps I'm biased because I'm waiting for mine right now!smiley wrote:I have a committee requested interview . . . anyone care to venture a guess as to whether this is good/bad/indifferent? i'm going with good just because my lsat is under their 25th so anything other than rejection is a step farther than i expected, but in more practical terms, does having an interview give me renewed hopes? anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
im not so sure that people are convinced that its an acceptance batch. because people who are DR 12/7 and DR 12/9 seem to have similar numbers. i think people are saying they might not be doing it in batches. i personally am in the DR 12/7 group and have yet to receive any email of waitlist or rejection - if that helps at all haha i don't know.
p.s - 172 (multiple), 3.5x
