Wow. 104 here.
I'm a splitter with a very high LSAT (>75th) and a pretty low GPA (<<25th). Submitted early Nov.
Seeing how many people (more than half of a Stanford class) are still waiting can be discouraging, but it also makes me feel really good to know that I am not alone and my wait is not unique. Thanks TLS!

So when the decision letters start coming out, should we start counting down from whatever our peak count is?

If I get a DLS I will count down.
There has to be movement today, right?
Anyway, good luck to all.

I'll be severely disappointed if there isn't.wheelhouse12 wrote:If I get a DLS I will count down.

If my investigations are correct the last decisions posted on tls came in "today". That is, the Tuesday of the second week of April. They were primarily URM and nontraditional (military), I think. Look for April 9th, 2013 if you wanna check.juicebox wrote:When were the last straight acceptances last year? Sorry if this has already been asked/answered, couldn't find it.love4life29 wrote:They said that they would be done end of April...and last year it looks like they kept people hanging on til like April 25th (or longer if waitlisted). So besides the fact that we really want to know, SLS actually hasn't done anything other than what is expected, right? I'm just wondering what all of the "we have to know by XX" are based on.

Stanford's straight acceptances don't usually go beyond mid-April. I don't know that past years are the best comparison, though. The date of ASW drives much of the decision timeline and, as many have already mentioned, it got moved up 2 weeks this year. It could be that, if there are still acceptances to go around, they could go later this year because Faye won't have to worry about notifying people in time to travel to an ASW that has already happened.Blackjack45 wrote:If my investigations are correct the last decisions posted on tls came in "today". I want this not to be true as much as all of you - but I heard from someone who went to ASW that they weren't anticipating doing any more admits. I wouldn't be shocked if there were a couple more, but really doubt anything beyond that. I would guess they're sorting out the waitlist vs. rejects at this point. Sorry to be a downer!!

That wouldn't be surprising, but definitely disappointing.love4life29 wrote:I want this not to be true as much as all of you - but I heard from someone who went to ASW that they weren't anticipating doing any more admits. How would they know this though. I kind of doubt admissions shares that information with accepted students directly.love4life29 wrote:I want this not to be true as much as all of you - but I heard from someone who went to ASW that they weren't anticipating doing any more admits. I thought the same thing at first, but when I went to visit Berkeley I met the dean of admissions informally and he was like yep we're all done admitting people for this cycle - it was a tough one! or something like that, and the way this conversation was characterized seemed similar. Personally, my hope is quickly fading. I'm not sure what incentive an admitted student would have to make this up.Chalupa-Batman wrote:How would they know this though.
