No harm in calling. I did that about a month ago when I was worried about my app, and they were very understanding.

sorry if this was already discussed but when are reserves usually contacted with a decision? didn't they say May?

Their e-mail told us end of May, no? I don't think there will be much movement before that time...

"Later in the season after we've begun to hear back from people already accepted (usually by mid-to-late May), we decide if further offers are appropriate. If so, we review the files of all reserve applicants and make additional offers. At that point, we also create our official waiting list."

I mean, I might attend. I just don't expect to hear back, and it's not particularly pleasant sitting on yet another waitlist. Particularly given that I probably won't get money even if I do get in, sitting on the waitlist is basically just an exercise in torturing myself.

I guess I phrased my post wrong.

I am on the reserve list too. I am in at BU. How can I appropriately tell Cornell that I am in at BU and wait listed at Minnesota so hopefully they can take a chance on me?

I personally don't think Cornell will give a crap about any of this information. If you send Cornell anything it should be 1) updates like a promotion at work, or an award you received in the community or at school. Or 2) Reasons why you want to attend Cornell. The only time they might care about your other options are when negotiating scholarship or if you were wait listed to yield protect their class (above 75th percentiles in LSAT and GPA).

Given that they still haven't given out all their initial decisions yet (which is CRAZY

) I don't anticipate that reserve peeps will be hearing for awhile
