This is just getting absurd. I applied 10/18 and have still not received a decision. I wrote a Why Michigan, LOCI, sent an additional LOR, contacted Michigan again to check in and whatnot, and still nothing. Watched others with similar stats get in with money shortly after applying. Others have gotten waitlisted and dinged, so what is the deal with me, Mich? Can't decide if you like me? Or are you just torturing me?

Hey whitman, I feel your pain. I applied 11/5, wrote the Why Mich, sent in an LSAT addendum, sent a LOCI, and still nothing. I wonder if they just keep pushing us down the pile when we send stuff in. I still think the LOCI was a good choice though, because I was worried about YP. I even asked the admissions office if it was okay and they said they would welcome it.

We survived the waitlist crush, and now we're in this weird limbo. To quote Thoreau, this really is the "winter of our despair."

That's weird. I'd say you're clearly YP, though you did a Why Michigan and LOCI - maybe they just don't believe you? Have you thought about calling admissions and expressing your desire to go there over the phone?

That's weird. I'd say you're clearly YP, though you did a Why Michigan and LOCI - maybe they just don't believe you? Have you thought about calling admissions and expressing your desire to go there over the phone?

I've considered it, but I think at this point it's just too much. I'm just going to wait and see. If I don't get in (I haven't had a very successful cycle) I will probably wait a year and re-apply with a better PS and better LORs.

Yes, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't mean anything individually. I've seen my status checker pause time and time again, and still no decision. Going on 5 months now. *Sigh*

Haha, ok now Michigan resent me the status checker email. I'm guessing this is not worth a call to their admissions office, but this coupled with my status reverting from "Decision" to "Complete" is a hair disconcerting.

I know. Coming into the cycle, Michigan was my number one. I would obviously still love to be accepted, but this is really turning me off. I mean an apology for taking so long in December and then 3 more months of silence? Watching others with similar numbers get in with money, people get denied, waitlisted, accepted...it's just not cool. Do they really not know what to do with us? And if they don't, isn't that what the WL is for?
