Yup, scratch my last post on no updates since UR 11/11. I just checked and it says UR 12/9. For ED'ers, I'm hoping this means we're not getting a ding on 12/15, but at least getting deferred to regular admission. Are you RD or ED, crombot?

Submit 10/23 -> UR 10/28 -> Interview 11/19 -> UR 11/19.

Still stuck there.

it seems like there was a widespread update of ED PT ppl. DR will prob come in the next few days and I think it is going to be a mixed batch considering that there are both ppl that should be a lock and ppl that are on the edge (and I think a lot of the auto-denies were in the 12/1 batch).

FYI - I updated to UR 12/9 and I'm RD FT. Also, they asked for me to interview, so I'm not auto-reject.

Based on LSN, by this time last year (early Dec) they seemed to have largely abandoned the batch system and mixed all 3 decisions together on the same day.

To all my fellow ED'ers:

I think it's going to be folly on our part to try to figure out whether this is a rejection/acceptance/deferral batch. Who agrees? The Admissions Office has pushed back so many of our applications that it seems too varied to guess. I highly doubt 12/1 was really sent out as a "rejection" batch anyway - but I, for one, can't consider at all that I dodged a bullet with 12/1 even if it was because it seems like all the ED's are going to be sent out at the same time more or less.

Plus, I went UR 12/3, so my rejection wouldn't have been on 12/1 anyway.

No one has stated this from what I've read in the thread. Acceptances seem to come solely through snail mail.

out of curiousity, when would the e-mail be sent in relation to when you go DR?

I went DR today (12/9) but no e-mail from georgetown.

Well, UR 12/9

166, 3.87 (It's a reach I know)

From what I've seen so far, the people who went UR on 12/9 all seem to be at the bare minimum for acceptance. They may be sifting through the dirt to try and find a few low-number people worth accepting....

Anyone with solid stats go UR today?

The theory makes sense. But what about people who did not get UR updates? Like MirandaHobbes, whose numbers are not any more borderline than the next 12/9 UR.
I don't know, man. It's random at this point IMHO.
