Woah, you have some good numbers too (assuming they are accurate); straight rejection is a bit of a surprise.ohmy212 wrote:Rejected. Letter came yesterday. I live in New York City.

They update once a week? What day? Sorry I am new to this.nymario wrote:Gave a ring today to see what the deal was and told them I had a scholarship deadline fast approaching, and how long I should request another extension for to hear.
I was told a decision was made and that my decision will go out this week (future tense) and to expect it "by" next week. He concluded with an (ominous?) "good luck".
I don't really know what to make of it, but he did confirm that admits, WLs and dings would all be coming via snail mail, and therefore am at the mercy of the USPS. He also said that the admitted students website "should still be updated weekly", though it is not a "legitimate" method of receiving a decision.

In the past it's been Wednesday, generally early afternoon (1:30-ish). But who knows. There's also the story of the guy who was able to log in and then found out later that he was NOT accepted, so be careful.r6_philly wrote:They update once a week? What day? Thanks, I will stay off the website and wait for the mail then. At least it would be 99% definitive.clintonius wrote: In the past it's been Wednesday, generally early afternoon (1:30-ish). Add: mail came. Nothing. Standing for another day.

We should just face the fact that there are no more admit batches left for nyu or cls but some closure would be really nice

I called today and the woman told me that no decision had been made, but that I'd hear "soon." Despite the fact that she claimed that no decision had been made, it sounded ominous... I asked for clarification on "soon" and whether that meant before the end of the month and she answered "yes."

I've convinced myself that saying "Good Luck" after saying a decision has been made means WL. I don't think he would have wished me luck if I was Admitted or Dinged. But then again, he could well say that to everyone just as easily. *shrug*, It'll be easy for me to attend even if I get the call in August, so that's a plus.

Not for me. Whatever school I don't get into by the end of the month gets withdrawn from. Complete 11/3. Nothing in the mail today, so I finally caved and called admissions.
"A decision has been made on your application and you will be receiving it...*pause*...very soon."
Here's hoping to the CCN waitlist trifecta, although I'm definitely expecting a rejection.

This is my attitude. It will come when it comes. Knowing that it will, but unable to speed it up would be worse to bear.hannah87 wrote: so glad i haven't called admissions. i'd be vomiting right now if i heard that. instead, i'll just pretend that they haven't even looked at my file yet!

Pretty jaded, really, the process has been so drawn out. I just wanted to confirm that I would be getting a response before an upcoming deposit deadline. Be back later this week to post my WL/rejection.hannah87 wrote:oy. good luck!tilghmab wrote:Complete 11/3. Nothing in the mail today, so I finally caved and called admissions.
