Thank you. Mondays might not be so bad after all.

Also, we can thank my expert social media stalking skills-- but it looks like someone else also received an interview invite today (their update on facebook made at 7 PM CST.

Is it that unusual to receive emails on Holidays? They seem like generic emails but then again I can't imagine that they have them scheduled to go out at automated times? It seems more likely someone sends them out... so on Presidents day... :?:

they shared that they received in invitation to interview on FB...? that's not normal, right? would be awkward if they don't get in.

it clearly happens, but it is strange. if they're automated, then that means they decided who they were going to send invitations to on friday. but then why wait until monday night? they usually go out in the afternoon, sometimes in the morning. maybe whoever is responsible for sending the invitations couldn't get them out on friday but needed to send them before this week, who knows. either way, congrats

I think that getting an interview invite for Harvard is a big deal in itself. I know my first instinct was to tell my family members and close friends. I also have seen a lot of instagram posts with people celebrating about getting an interview. It's not common-place after all.

sure, it's a big deal. i definitely told my family and extremely close friends as soon as i found out. but sharing it on social media sort of rubs me the wrong way - seems a bit distasteful. typically, facebook/instagram is for so much more than close friends and family. i would also be worried if my whole network knew i received an interview and then didn't get accepted. just my 2 cents, to each their own.

I don't think JS1s happening on a holiday means the timing is automated. It's more likely they're just working from home, which we know they and many other adcomms do (e.g., conducting JS1s from home when the office was closed due to weather).

My slightly educated guess is Friday or Monday. Last year the late-Feb. wave was on Feb. 20, and I can't imagine they're any further along this year, given office closures and app/high LSAT drop.

Do we have details on app drops this year? I've only heard general predictions but would love to see some data.

Awesome news, though Harvard appears to have maintained numbers despite similar app/score drops in recent years. I suppose that could be due to some statistical sleight-of-hand, but it seems like they haven't been hurting for numerically qualified applicants up to this year. Let's see what happens this cycle, should be an interesting ride...
