For those who have sent LOCI's:
Did you notice an updated status date on the day the admissions office acknowledged receiving the LOCI?
Otherwise, [if anyone has knowledge of the admissions process], does the updated status date reflect the date of another review?

Mine didn't update right when I sent it, but I did send it before they would even be reviewing my application (EA deferred).
I'd bet that it is a date of another review.

I'm still stuck at complete, since early December.pdeturk wrote:Withdrawing before I updated the first time. Good luck to all those still waiting.
I don't think I'll be attending, unless I'm given a big scholarship which likely won't happen, but I paid good money for them to look at my app and they haven't. I'm really bitter about being left out in the cold this long, especially since this was one of the few schools that didn't grant me a fee waiver.

Ask for an application fee refund.

Haha Has anyone done that successfully before? I don't want to tip my hand and have them just reject it. I really want them to look at it for 5 months like I did my status checker.Blumpbeef wrote:Ask for an application fee refund.

Just so we're clear, that was a joke.
That said, if you actually decide to do it, make sure to post here because I think we can all use a good laugh.

My application went complete December 15th. Cornell requested an interview February 10th.

Well, looks like my chances are pretty much nill:

It just doesn't make sense to have that many early admits (especially in lieu of holds/waitlists) and then to keep everyone else hanging...who knows, a little admissions adjustment - instead of riding on Ivy League prestige - might help their rankings. Waiting until May - really?! Temped to withdraw my app, but I need closure.

I thought I'd check in here. But a 1/22 "Your application is Complete" is pretty typical for Cornell then?msblaw89 wrote:Wow, I feel for youmeredy171 wrote:ughhhh still 12/9 first complete.... seriously Cornell??

I have a 1/18 complete date. Looks like many people are waiting. My poor application is probably in the corner somewhere with a nice layer of dust....tallgaloot wrote:I thought I'd check in here. Same here. Why didn't we just do EA?meredy171 wrote:ughhhh still 12/9 first complete.... seriously Cornell??

Well, unfortunately, I don't think EA would have helped much... I submitted EA in October and am still waiting!whatismylife wrote:Same here. Why didn't we just do EA?meredy171 wrote:ughhhh still 12/9 first complete.... seriously Cornell??
