Re: NYU 2010
Still nothing for me. Although I am an extra day away from NYU than most ppl who heard today, so tomorrow is likely to be more enlightening.
Georgetown graciously allowed me postpone making a decision on their scholarship until Friday, so NYU has until then till let me in. Do you hear that NYU? Friday!

same. looks like we're not alone, though. maybe [about to be overly hopeful here] they can't make up their minds about us yet? today was the deposit deadline for some more financial aid recipients, right? could be a good sign. good luck!Joan Hollaway wrote:just wondering why you and I in bk didnt get them todayhannah87 wrote:legalease9 wrote:Got the waitlist mail today.looks like the batch has begun.

Hah, I guess they don't try to compete for the same person. 'Oh Mich already accepted this person, WL them!' and vice-versa. This explanation is much better than resigning myself to the fact that I wasn't good enough (I was in the YP-heavy batch though).Joan Hollaway wrote:sorry mich YPed you bro, you'd prob be glad to know that duke WLed meJericwithers wrote:Withdraw = closure.Joan Hollaway wrote:thanks you too, i prob wouldnt take nyu at sticker anyway but i just want some closure after all this time

I live in NY too and still haven't gotten a letter from NYU yet. I really want to go to NYU so I am not going to withdraw, but I would also like some closure. Hopefully I will hear tomorrow (or the next day)!

Should we assume that those who are closer to NYU and still waiting are borderline WL/Ding or borderline Admit/WL? (so we can read into the WL based on pure speculation) My sick (borderline) mind sort of enjoys this waiting game.

Re: NYU 2010
Gave a ring today to see what the deal was and told them I had a scholarship deadline fast approaching, and how long I should request another extension for to hear.
I was told a decision was made and that my decision will go out this week (future tense) and to expect it "by" next week. He concluded with an (ominous?) "good luck".
I don't really know what to make of it, but he did confirm that admits, WLs and dings would all be coming via snail mail, and therefore am at the mercy of the USPS. He also said that the admitted students website "should still be updated weekly", though it is not a "legitimate" method of receiving a decision.
