Complete 12/13 and no update since then even after a group interview on 1/24. It seems like most people get an update soon after their interview... whatdoesitmean?

Same complete date, group interviewed on 1/19, did not update until 2/9 and again today. I also sent an LOCI on 2/8 so I don't know if that helped but I doubt it hurt!

You sent in a LOCI before receiving any decision? Was it just a short email LOCI? When did you submit? Sorry for all the questions, I have been trying to decide if/how it might be appropriate to send a LOCI this early on.

I think the rule of thumb is this: If you have been WL/Deferred/Held--> send a LOCI. If you haven't heard anything for over three months---> sent a LOCI. If you are just neurotic---> don't send a LOCI

Haha, great advice. I think I just needed someone to tell me that...

Regular decision. I cannot say either way, but the synchronisity (spelling?) to me seems positive.

If you google georgetown law admitted students the correct page comes up. Click "no password", enter the information and if it generates username and pw you are in. If not, you were exactly where you were five minutes before.

Can we get some general consensus here? I posted earlier that I submitted 1/9, first complete 1/12, second 1/30, 2/8, 2/9, 2/13. My Program Time updated from Both to Full Time on 2/8. My address updated 2/9. I was hoping that some good news was in the mail after my 2/9 update from what I had been told. What should I be expecting? Any words of wisdom?

Thanks guys!

Bah I sure hope so. I just have no ASW love and nothing in the mail. And I was decision finalized 2/10 at USC and got their package today. (I'm in Boston) I at least figured that Gtown would beat USC to the punch. BLEH I want news!

Yeah, I probably am neurotic, but I got nervous when I didn't update after my interview. Also, I hadn't written a "Why Georgetown" so my loci was really more of a supplement to my application.

what time should we be able to get into ASW if 2/13 status update means anything?

Georgetown invited me for an interview even though I didn't request one. Although the email claims that I can decline the interview without adversely impacting my chances, I am skeptical...

Thoughts? Advice?

Do the interview. From past results, it seems like this is either YP or for borderline candidates. I am almost certain that if you decline, you will be WL/ding.

Thanks. EEk, I'm clearly not YP. I guess my 170/3.7 makes me borderline?

I think a lot of people rushed in to send their application by 02-01-2012 so that their decisions can be rendered within three weeks. GT is using interview strategy for a lot of people lately to buy some time on their ends. Not sure if you are applying ED though

Definitely do the interview. Mine was great, the interviewer and I spent a lot of our time actually discussing pop culture. Not even sure if she was probing to see if I was THAT interested in the school for YP purposes, just that I could hold an intelligent conversation (though I suppose our topic would not lend much credence to that)

Hm, not applying ED. I also have pretty strong softs and showed an interest in GULC specific programs. I guess my next question is: how to best prepare for a Georgetown Law interview? Hopefully the interview won't be too heavily focused on work experience, as I really don't have much to say on that front...

Thanks for the feedback, and congrats to the already accepted applicants! :)

In via email and password generation. Funny that you are notified of admission by a buggy email system that doesn't allow you to actually log in. This is me not giving me a fuck.
