Re: Cornell c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
@ green glass windows - my numbers aren't too bad (170/3.7), however, I don't really have much in the rest of my application. Poor WE up until this cycle and the same for extracurricular activities, like volunteering and what not. So, make sure you don't take my numbers alone is what I'm trying to get across.
EDIT: oh, I forgot to add that I've taken the LSAT three times.

Yeah, your numbers are a bit better than mine. I have some softs and a little WE, but yeah, nothing spectacular. It seems like my essays were good though.... not sure if that'll really help me at all.gaud wrote:@ green glass windows - my numbers aren't too bad (170/3.7), however, I don't really have much in the rest of my application. You never know! Hopefully you killed it on those essays and it catches someone's attention. You're still in the race man, you can't lose hope!Green Glass Windows wrote:Yeah, your numbers are a bit better than mine. I have some softs and a little WE, but yeah, nothing spectacular. Ah, thanks for the confidence. Mine is definitely waning after all these months. Or maybe apathy is just setting in. I'm not sure.gaud wrote:You never know! I'm in the same boat. I went into this law school application process thinking everything would be done in a couple months. Seems like I was a bit too optimistic in that estimate. I need to become un-apathetic though quickly because I have an interview with cornell in a couple daysGreen Glass Windows wrote:Ah, thanks for the confidence. 1/22 complete and nothing since. At this pace, I will probably withdraw before I see any movement.

They have to speed up, right? I mean, they still have months worth of submits to get through, and the deadline is approaching quickly.moxy wrote:1/22 complete and nothing since. At this pace, I will probably withdraw before I see any movement.

'Speed up' is an understatement, Green Glass .. I probably will end up being reserved/WL'ed (I hope), and the way I look at it .. I might as well withdraw in a few weeks. I need to make deposits to schools in April ..Green Glass Windows wrote:They have to speed up, right? I'm a 3x LSAT taker too with 170 as highest. Unfortunately my GPA is a p.o.s...should I give up on cornell already or whatgaud wrote:@ green glass windows - my numbers aren't too bad (170/3.7), however, I don't really have much in the rest of my application. 2/3 -> 3/15 here. Although the status is still "complete".

1/29 > 3/15. You'd think that they'd render more decisions before their Financial Aid deadline, so they don't have to deal with as many tax returns in their office.

Sure, if other applicants make decisions based on rankings, which some may (foolishly) do.sangr wrote:this has been asked elsewhere but do new ranking have effect on that years admissions?
