Did anybody get an email about orientation?? I thought we were supposed to get an email by now, and then we had to register for something? I only ask because I didn't get a couple of the emails they sent out.

Nothing here, but I also tend to miss out on some emails as well.

You will have to register, but I don't think the emails have gone out yet. I will ask the ILSP coordinator if she knows when the emails are going out and let you know.

I just want to point out that this thread has wayyy more pages than any other school I applied to.

The email was supposed to go out the first, but obviously didn't. Michelle is out of the office until Friday, so we can't ask her.

I JUST went complete on ISIS and am confused about the loans, can someone PM me so I can see if mine is normal?

I'm trying to get my loan situations taken care of, too. Still pretty pissed about not getting any need-based.

How much is everyone planning on having per week for food? I need to make sure I got some flow left for drankin' time lol

Also, is anyone going to be using a Mac? I can't figure out whether I should drop a couple hundred and get a Windows computer for school purposes.

Mer, since no one PMed me I'll just post it here. What do you guys see in your awards and dispersments? I see the amount UF gave me, which I accepted. The only thing that changed is it now tells me my cost of attendance, but I don't see loans anywhere! Can most of you already see what you will be getting in loans, subsidized vs. unsubsidized and can thus figure out how much you will be taking out elsewhere?

I'm a mac person, but I am going to buy a crappy (cheap) windows based PC just for law school since there seems to be some compatibility issues with macs and the testing software. And as far as I know there isn't a onenote program for macs (if you planned on using that) so I figure it's probably a good investment

Last I checked, UF's law school uses SofTest, which is mac-compatible. Also, onenote is over-rated. Most law students use Word for taking notes, fewer bells and whistles but gets the job done.

Why wouldn't you just use bootcamp and put windows on your Mac?

That was the original plan, but since I would have to buy windows + a terabyte of space to make room for the partition, I figured I'll just put that money towards a windows laptop since I've been wanting a new windows based computer for like 2 years (even if windows + a terabyte is less than $150).

Hey, this may be a little late in the game but is anyone still looking for a roommate for next year? I'm an upcoming first year. I'm looking for a female roommate to share maybe a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment or condo hopefully close to campus. I know there isn't a formal referral program and didn't attend ASD so I figured this would be the best way to meet people since this board is so active! Please private message me if you are interested

Be sure to post in the Facebook group if you've already joined. There's over 100 members IIRC and I know a good number of them were looking for roommates. Good luck.
