I am not attending ASW or open houses. I am relying on the fellow TLSers to post pictures and share their impressions of the faculty, facilities, students and administrative personal.

$28000 . The scholarship is renewable each year you are enrolled in the regular J.D. program. We are confident that you will make an outstanding contribution to the school, and we look forward to having you with us.

Re: Wake Forest 2010
Just got an Email....$18K per year and i just have to stay in top 2/3 of class or else it drops to $9K...seems reasonable. (164/3.4)
Now my question is It says as scholarship recipient I will be considered for Fletcher Scholarship...I assume since I was only offered a 1/2 scholarship now, why would they offer me a Full Scholarship later? was that an additional form I had to fill out?
Definitely want to go to the open house and if it is true they give out any additional funds then or possible summer trips that has me very excited.
Reading the email off my phone so if i missed something sorry.

I think all scholarship recipients received the Fletcher Scholarship part. I don't think it's an additional form. Just something they automatically consider you for after looking at more applications and commitments and everything (or so it appears).kickincane21 wrote:Just got an Email....$18K per year and i just have to stay in top 2/3 of class or else it drops to $9K...seems reasonable. Re: Wake Forest 2010
I remember reading from last year that if you received a scholarship, you were invited to a Scholars Open House. You would talk with students, faculty, admissions staff, etc. Based on their meeting everyone, they would offer additional funding, including money for study abroad and a full scholarship.kickincane21 wrote:Just got an Email....$18K per year and i just have to stay in top 2/3 of class or else it drops to $9K...seems reasonable. Re: Wake Forest 2010
got the 18000/yr and all the other stuff from above posts
That fletcher scholarship would be pretty great
it sounds like they hold off on offering that sort of thing until at least a few people withdraw and they have more $$$ to dole out

Are you in NC? I know that there are specific endowed scholarships for NC residents (at least that is what some of the scholarships from Wakes website says).tstyler98 wrote:Me neither. Frustrating!!!ntzsch wrote:!LSATfromNC wrote:Nothing yet...

I have the "admitted scholar" status and I have not heard anything yet either! I am an NC resident if that means anything.

Re: Wake Forest 2010
Today was awesome
I still don't know if I will be able to afford Wake. I am meeting today with my family to see how much money they could lend me.
I wish I could get one of the Fletcher scholarships or a raise in mine.

$25,000 here! So excited. That's more than I was expecting, but I'm not complaining. (3.7/164)

Re: Wake Forest 2010
Thanks I believe I might be slightly short of the amount needed. I will go through COL and trying to reduce this by living on a budget. I will also consider contacting Wake.tstyler98 wrote:I hope you can figure it out so you can come.Luis Gomez wrote:Today was awesome![]()

Re: Wake Forest 2010
If anyone is planning to attend the Scholar's Open House on February 5th and is interested in sharing a hotel with me the 4th & 5th, PM me. It'd be good to split the cost, and get to know someone right off the bat.

Re: Wake Forest 2010
This might be a stupid question, but are all of you folks (the ones still in undergrad anyway) skipping school to attend the open houses (for WFU and other schools)? It's really annoying that they're almost all held on a weekday. If I attended all of the open houses, I would fail my classes based on nothing more than exceeding the allowed absences. If you are skipping, are you getting excused absences or what? Is there some methodology to it, or do you just have lots of days where your school isn't in session?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
