Finally received my acceptance packet today with $15,000/year Dean's Scholarship. Accepted via e-mail on 1/22.

it's about time, i was accepted same day and i'm in NJ. i can't imagine it would take 2 weeks for mail to get here. hopefully something will show up for me today.

Need to stay in the top half of the class.
I also live in NJ and the status checker said they mailed me my packet on the 26th.

when did you get your decision? my letter was supposed to be mailed out 1/29 and I haven't gotten anything yet, so I'm hoping I'll hear soon

Got the acceptance email/status checker 1/22; They mailed out the scholarship packet on 1/26 and I received it today. So a little over a week to get from University Park to South Jersey.

Thanks! That's when I got the email too ad=nd in my status checker it says that something was mailed out 1/26 but it doesn't have a description of what it is. Hopefully I'll get something today or tomorrow!

Just got in via email. It says they will send out scholarship info in January (it's now February). I guess I'll wait and see how much they give me.

Edit: Also, status checker hasn't changed. Weird.

Hey everyone,

I finally got my acceptance packet today as well (accepted on 1/22 with 160, 3.85) and was offered the Dean's Scholarship which is $60,000 total (so 20k a year).
Pretty exciting stuff that makes me consider Penn State even more.

Yeah the scholarship came in the acceptance packet along with other information.

I was accepted today, and my status checker did not change until my acceptance.

to clarify, my status checker still didn't say accepted until after i got the email today, but before that the date changed last on 2/1/10

i hope this doesn't come out badly, but what's the deal with penn state? it seems to be in the middle of no where (albeit I am not really familiar with Pennsylvania), in a state with numerous other law schools, with both higher and similarly ranked schools in its two major markets (philly/pitt).

does it place well in say judicial internship type things? what's special about penn state?

same as my post. its a great undergraduate school but it doesnt offer anything special for law graduates... PSU's name is not even comparable to similarly ranked schools like temple, pitt, nova (in the region)... However, if you wanna get drunk and party for three years, PSU wins hands down!
