Re: UCLA?
Really wishing I would get a call today...that on top of seeing New Moon tonight would make today a complete WIN...and yes I did just admit to seeing New Moon on opening night. I'm already going to attend law school...no use in saving face trying to be cool.

Re: UCLA?
Called and they said they send out WLs/rejections out in batches an none have gone out yet. Also, they don't have a "true" rolling process and it is not unusual for applicants who applied later to hear back from UCLA before applicants with earlier complete dates. Sometime files are held and given to more readers if the committee can't come to a decision.

Re: UCLA?
Well I personally would prefer for them to put a damper on my thanksgiving instead of my christmas...so if you are on here UCLA...seriously just send me my rejection/waitlist now...no need to wait.hopefulundergrad wrote:Called and they said they send out WLs/rejections out in batches an none have gone out yet. What was the dollar amount of your scholarship? Or did it just say something like "we will cover your entire tuition no matter what the cost."?managamy wrote:IN today via phone call! Full 3-year scholarship too...

Re: UCLA?
I talked to someone named Rob Schwartz (Schwarz?) who said that they were offering a "guaranteed full three-year scholarship so everything would be covered." He seemed pleased when I said that I had visited and liked the campus. They're not mailing until next week, however.crackberry wrote:What was the dollar amount of your scholarship? Wow, that's awesome. I got $90K, but with tuition hikes and Westwood cost of living, who knows what I would still be paying.managamy wrote:I talked to someone named Rob Schwartz (Schwarz?) who said that they were offering a "guaranteed full three-year scholarship so everything would be covered." It feels reassuring to have a pre-Thanksgiving acceptance, so I can enjoy the vacation a lot more. You never know what's going to happen in the wacky world of LS admissions!hopefulundergrad wrote:This.rondemarino wrote:I think its cute that you two think there's actually a chance that you will end up choosing UCLA.
(Also, there's nothing like a full scholarship to make one feel wanted.)
Plus, you've got to love the location!

I got the call today too! Although he didn't say anything about money...boo. Maybe they only told you if you got a full ride? I hope?

Hey, I hear you. Wasn't trying to rain on your parade. Tis a little amusing, no?managamy wrote:It feels reassuring to have a pre-Thanksgiving acceptance, so I can enjoy the vacation a lot more. Listen, you're probably right, but if I don't get in anywhere in HYSCCN, it could be awfully tough to turn down $90K.rondemarino wrote:Hey, I hear you. Wasn't trying to rain on your parade. Tis a little amusing, no?
