Oh, and UCLA: CD-ROM. That airfare thing is pretty impressive, BTW.

vanderbilt also has a sticker, plus that obiter dictum.
duke has a lanyard in addition to the bookmark.
michigan has red text. oh wait... that's just for me.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Could the admits mention their completion dates, if they get the chance? I know that a few of you applied very early indeed during the cycle, so I was wondering if they appear to be going chronologically.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
I meant the evening here (Eastern), around 7:15. So still business hours for Stanford, I suppose, but after I had given up obsessing about it for the day. I looked at a couple of threads from past years, and it actually looks like the pattern they followed today (early morning + right before closing) is pretty consistent. Good luck!managamy wrote:Congratulations to you!! By evening, do you mean after 5 pm?? When did you complete?Lysis wrote:Dean Faye called me this evening!! Just got back to a computer now.

I don't think the subsidized airfare is given to everyone though. Right?

Boalt only gives $350 for airfare and it's only like a half day eventHavaianas wrote:yep I think airfare officially tops the Stanford t-shirtemrose wrote:Boalt = airfare.managamy wrote:It's interesting that each school has its unique "perk":

SLS gives $400 plus ride to and from airport and it's a 3 day event with all meals and activities paid for. Last year they took people out bowling and covered the drinks. Then golfing the next day

Is this for all admitted students? Or do you have to submit a need-based app for it?

all admitted students.
Not sure if they're cutting back this year b/c of the economy. I doubt it though

I definitely did not.FZJ80 wrote:how many of you guys tailored your PS to read like a "why stanford?"
Congrats to all those admitted. Even on a rainy cold day with a hellacious four-hour Torts final, Stanford is the best place in the world to be. Definitely plan to come to ASW, and actually come for the whole event (unlike me). Besides, my wife is (maybe) making the desserts for the dessert receptions -- definitely a step up from the crap they served us last year. I came for one day, hell-bent on the University of Michigan. That one day alone changed my perspective, and here I sit. Many of you will feel the same way, I'm sure.

I've thought really hard about it, and have come to a conclusion that I am pretty comfortable with:
I'd definitely give up one testicle to attend SLS.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
I love how this thread is causing everyone to reveal their gender. As for me, I'd be happy to donate my first-born to SLS.
Which is fine since I don't plan to have children.

Yeah it's white and says "Stanford Law School" in small letters on the chest. It has "SLS" on one sleeve and nothing on the back.legends159 wrote:is it the same white shirt with the little SLS on the chest?
I got the complete email on 10/2 (submitted 9/23).managamy wrote:Could the admits mention their completion dates, if they get the chance? I know that a few of you applied very early indeed during the cycle, so I was wondering if they appear to be going chronologically.
I used my generic PS but changed the font to size 11 to give myself more space to include a pretty lengthy "Why Stanford" paragraph.FZJ80 wrote:how many of you guys tailored your PS to read like a "why stanford?"
Thank you and good luck!rui wrote:Congratulations Crackberry and everyone else!!! I've been lurking on this thread for a while and pulling quietly for you all, really glad to see some acceptances start rolling in. Good luck to everyone waiting as well, pending my Dec LSAT score I'll either be waiting with you or holding off until 2011 but SLS is far and away my #1.
While the airfare and airport rides don't apply to me (I live in SF), the rest of that is awesome.legends159 wrote: SLS gives $400 plus ride to and from airport and it's a 3 day event with all meals and activities paid for.
