Well if those bastards hadn't taken 2+ months to complete my file, this news would be slightly more exciting. RD ADMITS - when did you get the complete email?

Re: NYU 2010
I received a November 10 complete e-mail.
And it's just the standard "Presorted First Class Postage" mailed from zip code 10012.
NYU continues its tradition of having the best design choices, the envelope is a classier variation on its purple logo color, and printed on a nice card stock material that's fun to touch...

I was complete 11/10 as well! Hopefully they'll take a URM who helps their LSAT median this early.jasonportwood wrote:I received a November 10 complete e-mail.

Does anybody have a clue about how long it takes for USPS first-class mail to reach international destinations, say in Asia?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhjasonportwood wrote:Hey guys - IN also! So excited because NYU has been my dream school since I started this process. Just got home and had a giant purpluish bluish envelope waiting for me. I dropped my groceries in shock because I wasn't expecting anything so early.
I live in Manhattan - all mail within the 5 boroughs arrives the next day, so they must have sent yesterday. So everyone else, be patient, for at least a few days...
I'm RD and submitted in late October, stats in profile.
CONGRATS to all the others, and the many soon to come.
Numbers, roughly? Other reasons why you are a lock for early admission and the rest of us should be patient?
The worst part is that I also live in NYC, but I have all my LS mail come to my parents' house in another state because I moved after applying and didn't want schools to get confused... ahhhhhhhhh
P.S. Also, congratulations you guys!!

Mine was the 10th as well; I have a feeling that they sent a truckload of those emails at the same time.sharthree wrote:Mine was the 10th. Cool, I was complete 11/17 despite submitting my app on 9/7. Probably means I won't be in this batch (if I get in at all).jasonportwood wrote:I received a November 10 complete e-mail.

I wouldn't be so quick to discount the possibility. Kretzy said he submitted in late October, so I'd say you're in pretty good shape. I, for one, submitted in late Oct and didn't go complete until 11/25.crackberry wrote:Cool, I was complete 11/17 despite submitting my app on 9/7. I'm obsessing so hard, have we found out yet whether Presorted First-Class Mail is 2-3 day or 3-5 day? I have been scouring the USPS site and already have plans to hit up my post office at closing tomorrow.....

Haha, you're right, I'm not. I'd probably attend Boalt/UVA/Mich over NYU anyway, so it doesn't really mattercrackberry wrote:My fault. Meant to say Jasonportwood...got mixed up in the quotes.AngryAvocado wrote:

Woo, exciting movement! I don't live more than a day's postage from NYC so I guess tomorrow I will be crossing my fingers!

Good luck! I'll wait until the middle of next week to cross my fingers, or otherwise I might develop arthritis.puppins wrote:Woo, exciting movement! I don't live more than a day's postage from NYC so I guess tomorrow I will be crossing my fingers!

See profile... I did pretty much everything I could to show them I really, really wanted to go there (attended info session and class, wrote a 1 page Why NYU about how I want to stay in NY), and I'm strongly PI oriented, but honestly I'm guessing any response this quickly probably just had to do with the numbers.
I'm sure there's a bunch more on the way...and I don't think you have any reason to worry with your #'s.

Sometimes, when it is raining, I just don't get mail. I guess that whole, rain sleet snow whatever thing doesn't apply to my mailman? Anyway, I used to think it was sort of a charming quirk, like a funny thing to tell people and all laugh about.0L Hoping for 1 wrote:I will be too even though I think DC might take until Mondaypuppins wrote:Woo, exciting movement! well since application season started, I am not laughing anymore.

Also, for those retakers, my average LSAT would have made me a borderline candidate, so if one example means anything, I'm not buying the whole averaging LSAT thing...

Woooo exciting. I applied to NYU Sept. 8 but wasn't complete until November 18. I would love a decision but I doubt it because every school seems to be ignoring me so I'm sure NYU will also lol

I'm pretty sure I was one of the first to go complete, but I'm RD. Does anyone know when rejections start rolling out? Just preparing for the worst...
