Yeah it definitely wouldn't hurt! It shows that you are genuinely interested in the school, and you'll be able to convey that to them

I have it on good authority that the delay in acceptances is being caused by adcomms traveling and nothing else. Let’s all take a deep breath and not freak just yet

Can someone explain the meaning of UR 1/2/3? I get that it is when the date changes under the "under review" line in the status checker. But is there some meaning in terms of getting a decision? Does the date change 3 times for everyone? Do people get decisions only after UR3? Like why do I care what UR # I am on or how long I have been on a particular UR#.

I'm not 100% sure but I eventually got an interview request while UR2. The day after my interview I turned UR3 and I was accepted via status checker the next day.

From what I've heard, the interviews are usually pretty great. I heard someone was asked what the best/worst days of their lives were.

Thoughts on what UR3 could mean if I applied less than a week ago? I connected with an adcomm at a grad school fair and was told to let them know when I sent my app in, so I guess I got leapfrogged to the front of the review order. At what point does being UR3 with no interview request become concerning?

If you talked to an adcomm already they might be counting that as an interview. That’s happened to a few people here.

Congratulations!!! What a great feeling - so early too. When did you apply?

Thank you!!!! Still super in shock honestly. I applied last Wednesday late at night and was complete Thursday morning. I really connected with the adcomms at my school's graduate school fair, and was asked to email one of them when I applied so they could review my application directly. My statistics aren't that astounding: LSAT just above 25th and GPA above 75th, though I'm at another top VA school. My experience definitely shows value in talking to the adcomms like humans — I mostly just asked about their life etc, not all that much about UVA specifically.
